Was it eyewateringly expensive?Booked Eastern to Aberdeen for March! 3 hours on the J41 with a stop at Newcastle. Should be interesting!
Basic fare was £128.98 one way. So not too bad.Was it eyewateringly expensive?
£230 one way and a 9 hour journey for rail.I suppose wonder what a rail fare would have been in comparison when we say eye watering fares.
if you can get an air fare lower than rail fare when you get a significant time saving you should always be thankful.
Just had an email from Flybe about my flight from Cardiff to Aberdeen and they have said that from the 10th February Eastern Airways will suspend their Cardiff to Newcastle flights, for passengers flying to Newcastle it looks like they will be offered alternative flights to Teeside and onward transport to Newcastle, for passengers like me who are flying to Aberdeen it just means the fuel stop will be at Teeside instead of Newcastle.
Yep that's what the email said. The fuel stop will be in Teeside and not Newcastle. I suspect that they've either been offered an incentive from Teesside airport or it's due to aircraft availability or might be both.they’re moving the newcastle flight to teeside, really!?
The P2P traffic between CWL and MME won't be as big as that between CWL-NCL, surely.Yep that's what the email said. The fuel stop will be in Teeside and not Newcastle. It's not if you can jump on a train to Newcastle as i think the local station only has 1 train a week. The only reasons i can think of is the ones i stated before. The P2P traffic between CWL and MME won't be as big as that between CWL-NCL, surely.

Very odd Eastern decision switching its CWL route to MME from NCL. I'd love to know the rationale too. I wonder what the CWL management makes of it all. I can't think they will rejoicing unless they have something already lined up for NCL.
I can't remember if CWL has previously had a MME route.
They are probably using the aircraft to operate an extra rotation from MME to ABZ, so CWL - MME is not being offered for sale.
