Winter 20/21 schedule now available. All but cologne
Some of the year-round routes from Cologne seem to be in the booking engine for next winter but Copenhagen, Warsaw and Katowice are with BRS amongst the year-round Cologne routes yet to be entered.

I see a Ryanair did a circuit this morning. They been doing the same at other airports where they have aircraft parked. This is to cut down on maintainence corts, but i would have thought it would cost more to do a circit that get a engineer to check over aircraft.

All 4x based RYR B738 are due to do a circuit today - EI-DLC/DCF/EML/ENM.
I believe Ryanair require their aircraft to be kept "flying" every week, as being parked over 7 days requires storage checks. I read that a number of Boeing aircraft have a limit of 7 days of being parked before having to be put into "storage", hence why Ryanair choose to keep their aircraft airworthy by completing a circuit. Airbus has a more simple system and therefore can be left parked for longer amounts of time with checks at certain time periods.
Other airlines like TUI and Jet2 may be happy to complete these storage checks on their Boeing aircraft and therefore may not require their aircraft to be flown.

The FR rotation from DUB to BRS operated friday night. The flight is on departure board to operate saturday evening as well. I wonder if this will keep going while this virus is around. Perhaps this is a bit insenseative putting information like this while people are passing away due to this virus.

Looking at the DUB website departures page for today there are 23 departures between 0730 and 1940 (I don't know if there were any earlier ones or whether the 1940 departure - it's the one to BRS - is the last of the day).

Of the 23 departures shown today seven are by Ryanair: EDI, BHX, AMS, LGW, GLA, SXF and BRS.

Looks like my last question has been answered with no FR flight on boards to DUB this evening (sunday) showing.

Until 11th April the route will operate 4 weekly. Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I believe the passenger figures for the Dublin route have been in single digits. How does it make commercial sense to operate this route. Or is it just case of keeping the aircraft airborne to meet the aircraft standards.

And why is ROI allowing flights from UK when our death toll is much higher than theirs.

Well I guess they figure that they already have the virus so it doesn't matter and want to keep links open for key workers etc.

Summer 2021 starting to be released.

Next summer's programme might give a clue as to how Ryanair views BRS in the light of its announcement today that it will shed 3,000 jobs, 15% of its workforce.

Michael O'Leary said that they don't expect to get back to 2019 levels until 2022 at the earliest and if a vaccine is not found they might have to make more and deeper cuts. This sentence forms part of the linked BBC report.

The restructuring could involve closing some UK regional hubs, Mr O'Leary said, but he would not say which ones were at risk.

Cologne

Winter 20/21 schedule now available. All but cologne

BRS, Warsaw Modlin and Copenhagen are still not showing for the coming winter, but Katowice is now bookable. Someone has made an entry on Wiki saying the BRS route will end on 23 October. There is no similar entry re CPH and WMI but we all know how much reliance to place on Wiki when it comes to aviation matters - not a lot!.

Lots of flight time changes regarding July onwards. Plenty of deps before 6am - shh don’t tell the nimbys !!

I feel there might be glitch somewhere as since yesterday all the departures from BRS have now been moved an hour earlier. I would expect a few time changes here and there, but not all flights moving forward by a uniform time. Let's wait and see, as otherwise the first few departures most days will all be before 6am!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
