So I know one of the overnight hours thing one they want is something like this:

The new hours will not begin until the new terminal is functional and operating. Seems fair. It's not actually restricting they want it is opening the hours up only when we have the new terminal fully functioning.

Taxi is they want more then one provider. Seems fair as Arrow are expensive at best, and you need a loan at worse.

Fantastic news, live been watching for 9 hours!

9-5 great result!!

I few concessions to be made but it looks like it’s going ahead.

What were the conditions to 'negotiate"...I got increased flights, traffic, taxis (!) ...was there anything else?

I know one or two of the councillors stated that they cannot plant anymore trees around the airport due to safety. So they'd want them to do it offsite - e.g. Chevin. That was one of the councillors suggestions.

Them conditions look sound to me.

Think they want a quite period through the night and don't want the new hours to come.in until moved into terminal that was my take on it

Sure they also wanted to stipulate no flights at all for 4-5 hours nightly guaranteed which is no issue for us anyway (just needs formalising)?

right im off to chill now, spent 9hrs watching the meeting today, shattered haha

How have you not punched something. I did the summing up for an hour then the vote. I need to calm down. Some proper wet wipes of councillors. Some very capable politicians also who need to be more in government etc.

Nope. They want the new terminal operational first before new nighttime hours are in operation.

The CNCLR for Yeadon wanted to support providing silence for 4 hours a night.

I remember someone saying in the meeting that the airport had been approached previously about a quiet period but wouldnt play ball.

The real fireworks start now. Fully expect GALBA to file a judicial review, followed by timewasting and litigation tactics.

Irony could be the UK government blocks airport expansion in Leeds that local government approved..... and forces through airport expansion at Heathrow that local government rejected. #hardworkstartsnow

Some of them wanted the airport to contribute more to the train station I believe..... the night time flying conditions worries me if the airport want the terminal they will have to accept what ever condition the council propose is that correct?

Nope. The councillors have said the conditions they want is that the nighttime new hours ONLY operate once the terminal is fully functional. If they were restricting a quiet "zone" if you will (Like LHR) it would have been a 10-4 victory. As CNCL Campbell would of voted in favour.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
