The article was dated yesterday and from Saudia's own website. Saudia wouldn't have posted this if it wasn't true....period.
Its certainly a hopeful story,
The article was put up yesterday but the info was from before they got the extra slots out of Heathrow this week.
There is still no start date and nothing is bookable direct.
It is from ACP, linked.
It could very well start this year but with no start date announced who knows ..this is BHX we are talking about and nothing is nailed here until it lands.Even then...Armenia for example 🙈🙈

Saudia would've got the slots a while before they announced the third daily RUH from Heathrow. Could you advise where you got the info that the article was from before Saudia got the slots?
One thing I note is there is no destination announced....neither JED or RUH which I will admit is strange. However I'm a glass half full kinda guy. With so many rumours and now this article (even The Travel Weekly are running with it), I'm thinking there's a deal been done and an announcement is due soon....ish 🙂

It will be Jeddah

If they do start on July 26th then it'll be interesting to see where Qatar position their return date (if indeed that happens) with Emirates bringing the A380 back at the start of the same month.

Far too many 'ifs' from me tonight 🤔
If Qatar do come back before, the competition will get toasty

Global Distribution System is a means used by the travel industry to enable bookings between airlines, travel agents, hotels etc.

Google is your friend for detailed info.

Yes only to airlines airports and travel agents .
Surprising therefore they still haven't put up a flight schedule ,or put the fares on sale If they are already with the travel agents?
So far no signs of any saudia tickets being on sale yet

Ticket sales can be quite difficult and can take a while before they are general sale

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
