Looking at FR24, it appears that there are several Lufthansa cancellations over the next couple of days (including Eurowings). MAN also seems to have cancellations. Looking at FRA arrivals on FR24, it seems the only other cancellations are German internal services. Anyone know why?

A little more information. Credit to Ian for the inbound data. All aircraft departed to STN later.

01:14 – 9H-LMJ FR2433 KRK - Depaerted BHX at 11:56

01:17 – EI-IFS FR1887 LIS - departed BHX at 03:45

01:22 – EI-EBR FR14 ATH - Departed BHX at 04:14

01:24 – EI-EKR FR2478 BRQ - Departed BHX at 07:06

01:27 – 9H-QEH FR7633 NUE - Departed BHX at 04:43

01:30 – EI-HGZ FR9283 FAO - Departed BHX at 04:05

01:47 – EI-HGG FR3843 REU -Departed BHX at 09:53

02:03 – EI-DWR FR285 PLQ - Departed BHX at 08:44

Some returns were fairly quick and it would have been better for the passengers to wait aboard the aircraft, than endure the awful journey on the A14 and M11 (especially, considering clearing customs at BHX and waiting for coaches). Other delays were considerably longer. Whether this was due to requiring replacement crew, I have no idea.

What was the reason for the diversions? Weather was pretty good here in Essex.

Thanks Keith. Essex is a big county and I am about 30 miles away from Stansted, but never would have thought we have such varied weather!
Um, it's 'Kevin', not 'Keith' (actually, you wouldn't believe the number of people who have called me 'Keith' over the years), but nothing to worry about. Yes, fog can be quite localised.

I called the Mod on the Birmingham skyscrapercity forum (RalphGuy), Ray not long ago thinking of our very own Ray Finkle.

And that is exactly what he said, Um, Its Ralph, not Ray, Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

Bloody social media/forums, it's takes over your brain sometimes.

Binman Bangladesh B788 BG207 Dhaka to MAN is currently circling the Chase hold at 15,000ft, having left the hold at Manchester. Looking to land here possibly. Wind related?. S2-AJU .

,

BG207 B788 S2-AJU possibly diverting to BHX due to wind at MAN. Has been refused by LHR and STN and BHX probably too, might and up at EMA lol

Looking like EMA now

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
