WHY DO EASYJET KEEP ANNOUNCING FLIGHTS TO DESTINATIONS STRAIGHT AFTER I BOOK THEM WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE!!!!!! First Naples and now Paris 🤣

In all seriousness, its great that bhx will finally be getting an easyjet base. What are the most realistic destinations that will be served with the 3 based aircraft?

If someone from easyJet is reading this, I would like to travel to Agadir, Marrakech or maybe even Cairo next year. AGA and RAK with TUI is too expensive for me lol.

EasyJet just announced Marrakech from BRS next summer so never say never

So Easyjet opens a base at BHX. With Ryanair and Jet2 and others, where are the aircraft going to sleep? Space is at a premium is it not?
They will have to snuggle up close together.

I almost gave up hope for BHX during covid and thought that the good times had passed. I was so wrong.

Easyjet, Jet2, Ryanair and Tui all with a decent base. Nice to have some national carriers and the good news on easyjet is city to city connections not the usual high rise beach and cheap wine destinations. That bodes well for business and the economy.

Great to see the extra flights but Glasgow looks really low at eight weekly I would have thought at least double daily on weekdays would be viable given the routes history.

I don’t think Glasgow is popular route for many users. It’s handy for football matches up in Scotland.
Edinburgh is popular due to the fact of international connection

I don't really agree I can't see any significant passenger traffic connecting internationally from BHX via EDI.
Looking back to 2019 the year before covid and the one we hope to match this year the figures rounded up were Glasgow 229,000 and Edinburgh 266,000 with each route having 5/6 or more flights daily with Flybe DH-8s and their Embraers plus EasyJet.

The routes may not be as popular now but I would think both could sustain a daily morning and evening rotation year round. Hoping EasyJet will add more flights soon.

Indeed, Rolo, totally agree.
I would have thought three rotations a day on weekdays to GLA.
I can remember when BA operated several flights a day, and although the requirement has dropped a little with business people, many prefer to fly than undertake the long train journey.
Once a day seems detrimental and off putting to potential passengers.

I suppose that if the demand for frequency arised, more aircraft may be deployed with the requisite jobs and services that come with further expansion of the BHX base. Then, perhaps, BA may look again at opening a regional base at BHX, that would be a dream realised for me but the key is demand for a frequent and convenient network from the main West Midlands airport. People buying tickets or whatever the modern method is, do paper tickets even exist nowadays?

It was a shame as I believe BA Regional at BHX wad doing well Dragged down by other bases.

I’m off to Belfast with EasyJet on 24/6/23 .my flight is at 1.40pm .What are the chances of it being delayed or cancelled as I’ve noticed a few flights going to Belfast or even flying with EasyJet have been cancelled recently

Sadly no news about the new routes, but I did fly to LPA with easyJet (from LTN 😱😭😔) and flew back yesterday. I was impressed with the whole process and EasyJet were flawless throughout. The inflight flightracker was a brucey bonus and had a Neo both ways so a nice quiet smooth ride.
One thing I noticed was that there were a fair few people transitting from LPA to LTN to BER, which I thought was strange. When I asked one of the people who was doing this, they said there are no flights from Berlin to Las Palmas 🤔.
All in all a good experience and one that I hope to start having from BHX in the future.
N.b. whilst having a ciggie outside the terminal I saw a couple of peeps with easyJet lanyards round their neck. One worked on check in and one in IT. I asked both of them about BHX and the new base. One knew but didn't know of any routes. The IT guy didn't know, but was intrigued and started looking up the info about the new base. Alas no info on new routes. I didn't expect there to be, but couldn't hurt to ask 😀
