Hello, hope everyone is well.

Today I flew from LBA to Warsaw with Wizz Air (selfishly to see Beyoncé for her last European tour date) after flying with Ryanair to Modlin in January).

Security is definitely not at its best. We arrived at the airport at 6am for our 8:10am departure. The queue for security when we reached it went past the airside Greggs. Must have been a whole lot worse earlier as our flight was after the 6-8am wave. Took us 45 mins + to pass through. (The picture attached was taken at 6:20 when most of the Jet2 passengers on the earlier departures would have already passed through security).

What was rather questionable was a security guard taking donations for a charity, if you donated he allowed you into fast track at the final hurdle of the line (after 40 plus mins) - not sure how the airport or airlines such as Ryanair would feel about that. A great gesture for the charity, not great for those paying for fast track and those without any change.

We arrived within the advised 2 hour prior to departure. This left us with a quick tour around the airport before the gate was announced. We were promptly advised to queue in the outdoor shelter whilst waiting to board.

Wizz Air was a very seamless experience, nice to travel on the full A321-NEO service too. Chopin is a much nicer experience than Modlin.

Will be flying back to the airport from Modlin with Ryanair on Friday evening, will see if the arrival experience is slightly nicer!IMG_4794.jpegCD5B0CAB-E43A-4EDA-9F14-403A117698EA.jpeg

During 2019 i spent a few days in warsaw with a mate, on 2 occasions we took the excellent train service to chopin airport. The airport has a really good viewing point area with excellent views of the vast majority of the apron and the 2 runways complete with cafe and lots of info about the airport.
Now wizz fly to chopin its certainly easier to get into warsaw city centre as modlin is a fair way out, quite a long train journey and then a bus from a train station thats very old school, looks like a big old house in fact.

Make the most of it as i believe Chopin will close when the new airport is completed.

His report states "FULL" A321neo service.

Full flight. Full airport. Great to see an Airline filling the A321 out of LBA, alongside being the only operator. Proof it’s a good option for Jet2 too - alongside Ryanair when they receive the larger max in years to come. Hope to see more from Wizz at LBA. Many of their European hubs would provide great connectivity.

Warsaw from Leeds must be one of the only routes that we have more capacity to over MAN, if not the only (happy to be proven wrong).

Isn’t Warsaw just 3x per week with Ryanair from MAN?
Warsaw's modlin airport makes LBA look like heathrow! From memory i believe it only has around 5 gates all crammed in!

Never knew they were constructing a new airport. One thing i noticed at chopin was how far down the runway 33 the touchdown zone is, by googling it u can see where the tyre marks are!

Apologies if in the incorrect thread.
Does anyone know if there are trolleys available at the free 1 hour drop off car park?

No. Its just a parking area. Dont think there are any at the other car parks- but stand to be corrected.

The area has never been very well ventilated, especially since it had numerous alterations and the new floor was put in. I dont think it has ever had air conditioning, therefore it gets horrible in high temperatures and when full of people.

I've had the pleasure of standing on the airport rooftop and can confirm that it does.

The rooftop is littered with electrical units and many air con units but I have never seen an interior head unit inside around the old void above check in was.

The majority are in the kitchens, lounge and outer walkways, as you can tell the difference in temperature and see them in the ceiling.

This response maybe too late to be of use but I was in the free 1 hour drop off car park today and recalled your question. There were trollies available but it looked like they had been brought down from the terminal and were left in a purpose built area as you walked towards the airport. I couldn’t confirm that they would always be available.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
