Really don`t see why everbody is so excited about the most boring show which is as every one knows a political fudge of music

Lighten up, it's a bit of fun, dazzle and colour. It brings lots of visitors and tourism to the host city and for a week or 2, we can let our hair down a little and have a dance. Plus I always count the time of year that is Eurovision, my official start to summer. I love this tme of the year ;-)

Not quite sure how that is boring

Plus it's bringing ElAL to LPL

How exciitng is that ;-)

Liverpool Airport is 90 today. The original terminal building is still here, but is now a hotel. Its worth a visit to experience the art deco style of the 1930s.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport are celebrating their 90th Anniversary today 🎉

Having officially opened on 1 July 1933
@LPL_Airport
will be marking the occasion with a series of activities across the day and online ✈️

From what I read elsewhere various teams are using it. I dont know who SPD travel is, but as far as I've observed LFC fly from Liverpool normally.

SPD travels is invariably accurate. For a non stop flight from LPL or MAN to Singapore, a 777-300 would normally require in excess of 3000m, depending on weight. Also a question of availability of equipment/tugs etc.

Quoting LFC are once again using MAN suggests its a regular event. I dont follow football generally but from the info I read LFC use Liverpool Airport predominantly.

They have used MAN a few times in the past. Last year they used the Singapore A380. Yes there were a few teams on that A380 but the fact is Liverpool FC have used MAN in the past and clearly will continue to do so where required.

If they fly from their home airport..There wouldn't be a problem equipment wise using Liverpool. A330s , 787 a A350s have all used Liverpool over recent times. Wide Bodies are not that un common. Indeed B777s and A330s were regular during the Pandemic period from China.

It may well be that Qatar prefer to fly from an airport that they use on a daily basis, and where they have ground arrangements already in place.
If that is the case, then presumably LFC have been consulted and have no objection?

Again it depends on weight/distance the aircraft is flying. It would seem that a 77W flying about 6800 miles to SIN (Beijing for comparison is just over 5000 miles) with passengers, would need 3000 metres.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
