Leaving Dubai at 8pm and not arriving to Edinburgh until 3pm the next day (6pm Dubai time)... that's a hell of a long flight!
Think its probably meant to be a 07:55 departure from Dubai.

The respective runway lengths are fairly similar: 2,665 metres at GLA and 2,556 at EDI. Whether such things as runway/apron strength, taxiways and handling infrastructure are sufficient I don't know. With Glasgow apparently getting the A380 permanently I believe, could Edinburgh handle an A380 runway and facilities wise?
EK have retained slots at EDI. It appears to be 5 x weekly. Interestingly, QR have doubled slots and seats which suggest they may go double daily. With Qatar operating with LF’s in the high 90’s, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they did.The ACL report for 2023 suggests that Emirates is seeking to resume 12 routes and start 1 new one. Edinburgh is mentioned as one of the resumption routes.

Let’s hope this happens. Presumably, EK is due to take delivery of some A351 soon?https://www.***Links to other forums are not permitted***/forum/35582063-post6.html
Looks more likely. Good news for QR. Another summer season without any substantial competition to the ME and beyond. TK continue to perform very strongly, but seem content on using 321’s, apart from an occasional 332/3.August next year apparently, so maybe an October 1st start like when the service originally started?
