Three first LBA airliner visitors today. German Airways Embraer 190 D-AKJC operated the mid morning KLM Amsterdam rotation. Blue Islands ATR72-500 G-ISLN is enroute from Southampton with their footy team. Wizz Air Malta Airbus 320 9H-WZW is programmed to operate the evening Gdansk turnround. The latter aircraft was previously G-WUKD of Wizz Air UK and is subject to change.

I really can't remember this happening before, but it looks like Jet2 are sending Boeing 737-300 G-GDFL out to operate the LS213/214 Leeds-Antalya-Leeds rotation tomorrow

It's either because the usual booked Boeing 737-800 is out of place having diverted today and maybe due to low bookings..

Bookings must have been lower or they wouldnt be able to accomodate them all on a -300. Im sure at this time of year they could have found a -800.

Must be due to low bookings, funny time of year this week, it's not quite Christmas, people busy shopping etc.
Nice to see the 300 doing a 4 hour flight.

I noticed that on FR24 earlier. They have used the 300s in the past on the Canary Islands routes but like you, I've not seen them heading to Turkey.

Way back I flew with Inter European on a 300 on the Paphos to LBA route, also a good 4 hour plus flight, so I guess the aircraft is fine for such distances.

I remember flying to Cran Canaria in 1984 with Air Europe on a new 737-300 booked through Intasun Holidays who had a very big base on Grattan Road in Bradford.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
