Yes because there are no direct trains and the A1 is s**t.Would a DSA-MME route work![]()
He's using the governments enthusiasm for DSA as leverage for the government to drop the passenger tax. It may even be a veiled message to DSA that if they pay the APD he will fly there.
No it was just his way of taking the opportunity to give the Gvt a bit of a kicking over APD which he does all the time. His response to the question appeared honest initially ‘Jesus, Doncaster…’ He was just taking the piss as if to say ‘you’ve got as much chance of getting us to fly from Doncaster as we have of you scrapping APD’.He's using the governments enthusiasm for DSA as leverage for the government to drop the passenger tax. Sorry the Link didn't work properly on my phone and the one I searched was about the government in general. Thank you! Here you go..

Maybe I misread but it appeared to me as though you were implying that he was trying to get the government to scrap APD so that he could fly from DSA, but the nuances in his language suggested he’s got no interest in DSA. Apologies if I misunderstood.Wasn't that what I said?
Compared to x5 weekly in winter, yep I must agree.Only twice weekly to TFS!! Wow, very underwhelming.
Perhaps its because they can fill their planes on shorter routes in summer which in turn saves on fuel costs?Compared to x5 weekly in winter, yep I must agree.
Or more people fly down to the Canaries in Winter for a bit of winter sun.Perhaps its because they can fill their planes on shorter routes in summer which in turn saves on fuel costs?

Have you not been following what is going on in the Canary Islands? Only just a few weeks ago the Jet2 boss blasted Spanish officials about the Spanish treatment towards tourists. He said customers were looking elsewhere to friendlier places like Morocco and Turkey. He followed that by announcing more flights to Morocco. Now I know Ryanair used pulled their Moroccan flights but their reduction could be for similar reasons?Perhaps its because they can fill their planes on shorter routes in summer which in turn saves on fuel costs?
The way the Spaniards are treating tourists is insane considering without them they have nothing.Have you not been following what is going on in the Canary Islands? Yes I have but to be fair our Summer TFS has always been x2 weekly, maybe 3 but 5 in winter, I would of thought a Summer increase was on the cards. Always surprised LPA never came back with FR. especially for Winter.Have you not been following what is going on in the Canary Islands?
