I feel like I've mist something here. What happened to Jet2 doing the W flights into Luton? I see they have their own based aircraft now?

Wasn't it always the case that some of the LTN flights would be operated by the based aircraft, but these would be supplemented by others on a W pattern from LBA based aircraft?

They are operating a W pattern from LBA; 7 days a week.

There are some days the LTN programme is supplemented with W pattern from BHX/STN, on top of the LBA and it's own 2 based units.

Jet2 have just added a 5th weekly Zante service for PEAK summer 2025 with an additional Friday flight operating for 7 weeks (Aug 1st to Sep 12th) using the spare back up Boeing 737-300

LS447 = LBA 11:45 – ZTH 17:35 / LS448 = ZTH 18:25 – LBA 20:25

Not sure if the are any others as haven't really fully checked.

Jet2 really start ramp things up at its Leeds/Bradford base during the month of May with lots of capacity increases on routes to Palma, Alicante, Malaga, Faro, and more summer seasonal routes restarting to Bergen, Jersey, Nice, Bergerac, Almeria, Pisa, Verona, Split, Bourgas, Crete Chania, Kefalonia, Kos, Skiathos, Thessaloniki, Zante, and its brand-new route to Jerez.

By the end of May Jet2 will be operating up to 200+ rotations on 4+ routes using its based fleet of up 9x Boeing 737-800 & 7x Boeing 737-300’s.

And the best bit about it, it doesn't not stop here as we have even more Jet2 flights starting from mid-July for the PEAK summer school holidays along with the additional 10th based Boeing 737-800 arriving to operate the w-legs to Luton.

A bad week or bad few days doesn't mean they are unreliable. Would imagine they have high dispatch rate.

You've got to remember something as minor as a light bulb out over a fire exit can take an aircraft out of service. AOG doesn't always mean the aircraft is knackered!

Also looking at Jet2holidays last night and seat plans the new Jerez flights are selling really well too. The first flight next Tuesday is about 85% booked.
