They are certainly taking their time. Easyjet will be launching their winter schedule this month so they better get a move on if they want to get an advantage over easy. There has been positive signs so far . New winter Milan bergamo , Venice Treviso plus an extra weekly lanzarote so far. Be nice to see Bucharest or Riga tio

I've been having trouble getting most of the routes up on the Ryanair website over the past two days both in the booking engine and in the timetable. I've had to physically type in the destination because I'm not getting a full list of countries to click on destinations in those countries. It's not just for flights from BRS.

I wonder if my browser or cookies are the problem.

I noticed yesterday that some of the extra flights to the likes of Alicante and Malaga during August were restricted to just one week. I would hope it's a malfunction

I've just checked the summer timetable for AGP and ALC (still had to type in the destinations manually) and they seem to be as they were a few weeks ago right through the respective months, and not just restricted to one week.

ALC (May to September respectively, number of weekly rotations): 8,9,8,10,8

AGP (ditto) 9,10,9,9,9

In fact, AGP seems to have gone from 8 weekly in September to 9 weekly since I checked a few weeks ago.

Test bookings through August brought up all flights as per timetable.

Hmmm I'm using the mobile app and I'm not getting any of those results. Alicante is just 7 weekly in August as is Malaga. It must be some malfunction somewhere

I use an Apple Mac desktop with a Safari browser. I don't have a mobile phone other than a basic pay-as-you-go thing that I carry for emergencies so I can't check the Ryanair site with a mobile app to see if I get the same as you.

Ryanair seem to be taking their time releasing their flights for the winter.

It's still not just Bristol that is waiting for the full 16-17 winter schedule.

On 30 March Ryanair announced a new route from Sofia to Liverpool and said then in their website news item that the full Liverpool winter schedule would be announced soon. Nine days later and it still hasn't been.

Incidentally, on re-checking summer 2016 I note that Malta has been restored to 3 x weekly. I was mystified when it was originally shown as 2 x weekly as it's always been 3 x weekly in summer with monthly load factors well into the 90s%, although of course we don't know the yield and Ryanair have axed BRS routes with similar monthly load factors in the recent past: Bratislava and Katowice for starters.

I suppose someone has to be last. BOH has been pretty grim so far as Ryanair is concerned in recent years, especially in winter.

I can't see any specific item on Ryanair's news page about Liverpool. In recent weeks most of the other UK bases that have had their winter 16/17 schedules published have seen big increases which have been trumpeted on Ryanair's news page with individual items about each airport.

BRS does seem to have new winter routes in the few routes that have been published. The hope must be that other routes will not be axed or reduced in frequency in order to permit the additions already in the public domain.

Nothing in Ryanair's news section yet on their website. They've been in the habit of publishing summaries of their offerings at various airports this winter, most of which have seen increases, although sometimes there is a time lag of a day or two between the routes being put in the booking engine/timetable and the summary on the news section.

Ryanair Summer 2016

All the additional rotations to various places that were in the booking engine a few weeks ago (and commented on in this thread at that time) have now appeared in the timetable, as have some later additional frequencies.

This means that:

In May there will a total of 113 weekly rotations (11 more than summer 2015)
In June 119 weekly rotations (16 more than in 2015)
In July 120 weekly rotations (18 more than in 2015)
In August 132 weekly rotations (14 more than in 2015)
In September 118 weekly rotations (10 more than in 2015)

Ryanair Winter 2016-2017

Having, in my previous post, summarised this summer's Ryanair offerings I've now had a look at next winter in more detail.

Overall there will be 68 weekly rotations, 13 more than last winter. There will be 18 winter routes, three more than last winter. The new routes are Krakow (3 x weekly, started this summer in competition with easyJet), Bergamo (3 x weekly, hasn't operated in winter for a few years) and Treviso (2 x weekly) which was previously a summer-only route, but Ryanair may be looking at easyJet's new (from this spring) Venice Marco Polo route.

The other 15 routes all operated last winter and are (with last year's number of weekly rotations shown in brackets):

Arrecife 4 (3)

Extra flights to chania and knock have been released for various points this summer

It's a job to keep up with these increases to the original timetable. This means that Knock will be 4 x weekly in July and August up from 3 x weekly in both months which will be the frequency for the rest of the summer, with Chania 3 x weekly in July as well as the originally shown August, with the rest of the summer at 2 x weekly.

I've amended my post of 20 April to take account of these additions.

Ryanair tops Bristol Airport's track-keeping awards

Airline tops league table for on track departures.

Ryanair has topped the table in Bristol Airport’s annual Tracker Awards. Based on flight records for 2015, the scheme measures compliance with departure routes set up to minimise noise disturbance for local residents and also encourages airlines to use procedures which reduce their noise impact.

Ryanair, which serves thirty destinations from the Airport and operated over 3,500 flights during the 12 month period, was the only airline with over 99 percent on Departure Track Compliance and over 95 percent for Continuous Descent Approach.

Base Captain Craig Hope of Ryanair was presented with a certificate to mark the achievement and a large cake to share with his fellow flight crew. In a close-run race, Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines were also recognised for their outstanding performance during 2015 in achieving over 99 per cent for Departure Track Compliance and with over 90 per cent for Continuous Descent Approaches.

The Tracker Awards were introduced in 2013 to recognise outstanding operational performance by airlines at Bristol Airport, based on monitoring of compliance with noise preferential routings (NPRs). Continuous Descent Approaches are also encouraged, where aircraft stay higher for longer when approaching the airport, reducing noise and emissions for some local communities. The league table format is an effective way of encouraging continuous improvement and ensuring any deviations from track are taken seriously.

Melanie King, Environment Manager at Bristol Airport, said:

“Ryanair had to see off strong competition from several airlines at Bristol Airport and we are delighted to recognise their commitment to improving their operational excellence. It is an outstanding achievement to operate over 99 percent on-track flight departures combined with over 95 percent of flights on Continuous Descent Approach. Initiatives like the Tracker Awards can only encourage further improvements which will help to minimise the noise impact on local communities.”
