The timing of Easter Holidays will help kickstart spring/summer as well. And boy are we (the industry) in need of positivity right now so will take it.

The fact is its not a business airport it’s a bucket and spade airport at the moment full of a lot of rowdy drunken parties which a lot of airports are…

Not directly LBA related yet, but will certainly impact LBA in future to some degree. It seems the wheels may be wobbling and about to fall off the DSA2 project. The controlling Reform Councillors have finally cottoned on to what has been said on the DSA forum for many months, and are wanting to revoke the agreement to borrow funding, without which, the project is in doubt. A special meeting is to be called.
For more detail, see the DSA forum including an article by the YP, who according to the pro DSA lot are in bed with LBA so should be disregarded.
Its an interesting turn of events, but it staggers me that its taken them so long to see through the smoke and mirrors.

Not sure where to put this, please move if I’m wrong thread.
Just drove through Scotland Lane from Horsforth to Otley and the amount of properties up for sale is incredible. Must be 20-25 signs at a guess. This includes some of the larger farms on the right hand side.
Either they are all spooked by the night flying application or the Parkway Station has been given the nod.
Either way, it seems someone knows something.
What have I missed?

The Airport has been there for a long time. I don't think they have suddenly become aware of the airport.

It wont be connected to the parkway station if they are for sale. The affected properties are subject to compulsory purchase by the WYCA. They will also be further on, beyond the short hill and adjacent to the airport itself rather than in the vicinity of the built up area. .

A large group of us are planning to go to Morocco over New Year. Jet2 dont have any flights between Christmas and New Year and Ryanair dont have flights bookable after October.
Does anyone know if Ryanair flights stop in November or is is just that they havent been released yet?

Are we not due the response from the council. Yet again they appear to be overrunning the time frame given to sort this out?

These people need to place their energies in to properly sorting their own issues. IF noise impacts them and their lives so badly, a rational person would move. Just like if a neighbour was the issue or road noise plagued you, you’d move. It’s like these people relish their self torture

You will probably find that is the case that these idiots probably have their own issues going on in life so try to bring others down, a kinda way of dealing with it! Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
