Newly refurbished Pier C walkabout:

Now let's get airbridges jetwashed next please!

Aer Lingus Regional, Luxair and Aurigny have now joined Loganair over at the old T1 B pier. Personally I think it makes a lot of sense, and should help improve on time performance, and also frees up remote stands on the main T2 apron.

And all of these flights were routinely bussed anyway.

Move their check in back to T1(3) and jobs a good un!

when on one of these fights and after arriving at t1, are the passengers put straight on the aircraft or in to the pier to await boarding?

Not sure if it's been mentioned but, Chanel, La Labo and Tom Ford have now opened in the Boutique Mall. Only ones left to open later this summer are Coach and Reiss

Been very quiet on this thread for a while now…not much going on in T2, everything seems to have been stopped while it looks like T3 is the priority. Just a shame they couldn’t finish T2 before the peak summer.

As per my post elsewhere, flying via T2 last week I noticed the signage contradicts itself inside the terminal and shabby stick on signs have been added to the illuminated ones. Wall cladding is missing in the terminal. Walls are still dirty and scuffed, toilets are too small and gloomy with stained walls and floors. Reclaim carousel 5 is walled off and legacy arrivals still has no ceiling. And at 1am the road network was gridlocked at the west end of property trying to access the west multi storey.

I also notice T1 signs still present at the station and outside of T2 arrivals.

Anyone know what shops will be coming to the new T3 and what shops are replacing them as well as sporting chance which has been open for a while now. Former T1 concourse not looking in good condition at all now with all shops in there shut except WHSmiths!

There is always a place for constructive criticism ... that is healthy. But there is also a need for balance. T2 is receiving positive approval from the majority of passengers using it; some things must have been done right. Can you outline which features of T2 have been accomplished well in your view?

what a bizarre post. the user has taken their time to give their opinion. why should they have to say something nice just because you love the airport? if you are that bothered, then you can reply with whatever things you think are done right based on your experience. as just another user, not sure why you think you are in a position to demand anything in terms of what others post despite your self appointed position of holder of the MAN torch.

some people seem intent to turn the forum in to MAN Pravda. who put you in charge of what everyone should post?

Wow. I've really pressed your buttons. You are one angry individual. But the question I posed (to someone else - not you) is entirely legitimate, and I stand by it. What seems bizarre to me is the reaction of those who kick off at any suggestion that not everything about T2 is terrible / catastrophic / worst in the world, etc. Challenging that mindset is rational, not unconditional love for the airport. I make no claim that the airport is without fault, and call out examples of shortcomings myself when necessary. But the mere suggestion that MAG got some things right appears to enrage you. It is reactions such as yours which risk turning the forum into 'Pravda'. Balance is needed.

You go on to claim that I have made demands of others. Where? I have simply asked a straightforward question; marni1971 may answer it (or not) as he/she wishes. Respectful discussion is kind of the point of a forum, don't you think? You are the one who appears outraged by that concept.

Meanwhile, I have not put myself in charge of anything, or appointed myself holder of a torch (whatever that is supposed to mean). Re-read my earlier post and feel free to point out how you have drawn such illogical conclusions. My first sentence (of a four sentence post) even acknowledges the value of constructive criticism. The post simply invites a reasoned and balanced overview.

. Can you outline which features of T2 have been accomplished well in your view?
Directional signage. Aside from recent additions and conflicting signs in the atrium since pier 2 has opened I’ve said since 2021 that directions were concise and clear. Not so much now but nothing that can’t be easily fixed.

We’ve been outbound and inbound through T2X 22 times now and each time apart from reject bag waiting times, security / immigration and baggage return times have been good.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
