Evening all,
We are planning on booking a last minute holiday for October half term and ideally we want to go somewhere we have never been before. Obviously we will be dictated by availability so I’ll be keeping my eye out for any deals that come along. Top of our wish list is Sardinia so I was...

Crazy is all I can say! While I agree a digital detox is good idea what’s wrong with reading a book? And the no drinking/eating is really bad for you on a long haul flight.
If you could have a flight on an airliner no longer in civil operation (or so rare than it’s virtually impossible) that you never got the chance to fly what would it be?
For me it would be either a Tupolev TU-154 or a VC-10.
A thread to share the current film and TV shows that might be of interest to others;
Anyone with a love of 80s pop culture who liked things like Stand By Me or The X Files will no doubt love this;
For a bit of fun I’ve compiled a list of destinations once served from BHX that haven’t been picked up by another carrier. I’m sure I’ve missed loads so if anyone can recall anymore feel free to post them. It’s very interesting looking back - some were one season wonders and in some cases a two...
Four new weekend summer routes from BHX;

Ah the 80's....Thundercats, The Racoons, Going Live, Grange Hill, Neighbours and being oddly traumatised when Tasha Yar was killed off in Star Trek The Next Generation! Happy days!
For a bit of fun what routes do you think could realistically be announced by our carriers over the next 12 months? These can include announcements for Summer/Winter 18 starts aswell. Could be interesting to look back in twelve months and see how many we might have got right!
Blue Air

From March 29 Sun Air will take over BHX-GOT followng the closure of BMI's base there.
Flights will be daily (excluding Saturday's)
Very pleased to see GOT continuing - do we count this one as a return for BA? :lol:
Vietnam are switching from Gatwick to Heathrow from 30th March - x2 weekly Hanoi and x2 weekly Ho Chi Minh City. From July the 787 will replace 777 on the routes.
Wonder where the slots have come from? A shame for Gatwick but proof again that it merely serves as a waiting room for Heathrow...
Following the disappointing news from Flybe yesterday here is an early Christmas present; Norwegian are launching x3 new routes to BHX next year - Barcelona, Malaga AND Madrid!
Madrid is x3 weekly starting 31st March have, Barcelona x2 weekly starting 1st June and Malaga x2 weekly starting 11th...
Noticed that this mornings flight to EWR has been cancelled - anyone know why? Also noticed that United didn't appear to have it's own thread so thought I'd take the opportunity to create one.
Aegean Airlines are launching a new ATH-BHX service next summer; hopefully this route will do much better than the ill-fated Hellenic Imperial operation from a few years ago. Good to see another Star Alliance carrier at BHX.
