Just an update re the numbers, currently as of half an hour ago, there were 1424 objection comments, compared with 1124 support comments. Out of the comments there are 140 objection comments where there is a duplicate ie same person with same address. But conversely there are 129 duplicates in the support comment again with the same name and address.

There are also 2 standard comments and 21 general comments, I haven't looked into these to see which way they fall.

so with just a few more support comments it would be 50/50 then! that's really good going because as we all no those that complain, go against and object, those are the ones that always make their voices known. It shows that deep down the gen public no that LBA needs to develop!

The gap has remained pretty consistent over the last week or so and the numbers going in recently are only marginally anti airport despite GALBAs funding and ER input. If only there was a way to get more support over the next 12 days to narrow it further! It's times like this I miss still bring at work as it was always worth quite a bit of support.

I would not worry about it too much, I think it will still level out around 50/50 by the 7th july I believe it is? GALBA and ER will try to the end so we still need to keep asking others to send support comments to LCC. Most the objection comments are just fulla s*** but the support ones have substance and educated points in them, hopefully LCC will see this!

Well if ER hadn’t already made themselves look a joke, there french counterparts have just stormed the runway at ORY and stoped I front of an aircraft. How do they expect people to take them seriously...... I can’t even fit into words how dangerous that is and how obviously illegal. Sorry for the thread drift, but this stuff makes me so mad!

Many people have made a fuss over the 1 hour 30 min the airport is looking to move into daytime hours. Looking at the specs for the latest generation aircraft the noise is considerably quieter than previous types, and significantly quieter than aircraft noise classifications from when night flying was originally introduced. This Boeing information suggests a 40% reduction over previous models.

GLORY - Group Looking Obstinately Regards Yorkshire. Don't get them to join forces with GALBA please. More a**e l*****g w*****s is not what we need. And yes even more alcohol has been consumed. If only you knew how long it took me to post this!!!!!!!!!

An open letter from Hywel Rees in the YEP today re travel to and from the airport and countering the GALBA lies regarding building more car parks. I love how he refers to misconceptions when he would probably love to tell it how it is. Downright lies and dishonesty.

Do these Councillors live in the real world. Perhaps I should have refused to get on site for work with LCC at 7.30 with an hours drive beforehand because it was in the night time. If they get out of beds and have a look many, many people from all works of life are out and about BEFORE 6 in the ' morning'.

Received another E-mail from LBA yesterday afternoon in regards to the new Covid Procedures, but also had a section about the new terminal, looks to have been successful again with quite a few more support comments.

Have just tweed it onto the @SupportLBA feed.
When you re tweet things are you able to retweet it to all the useless MP’s of Leeds that don’t support the new terminal ? Am not into twitter so clueless on this
Am sure bombarding then with true facts may annoy them

I suspect they have their secretaries sifting out all the things that they don't want to read. They have the art of never answering a straight question down to a tee, so I am sure they know how to avoid reading things they don't want to read.

Alex Sobel wrote to my friend this week and said that if LBA want to build the new terminal he will support it and even withdraw his opposition, provided they undertake not to have any additional flights or passengers. So he expects AMP to stump up £150m (plus whatever Section 106 costs they incur in obtaining approval from LCC) on a terminal capable of dealing with 7m passengers per year, but restrict it to 4m. Any new airlines coming in would require an equivalent cut in routes from existing airlines to maintain the 4m limit. How do these people get jobs let alone be MPs? No understanding of aviation or even basic business finances. He clearly thinks that AMP capital are a charity.

Sounds like Alex Sobel can’t make up his mind or maybe he now knows the true facts and is trying to worm his way into supporting it but with a catch
Anyway LBA can have 7 million passengers it’s been approved by the Labour run idiots of LCC

Maybe we should start a (reverse psychology) negative airport campaign for 10,000 new homes to be built on the airport site with associated roads. That will give moaning NIMBYs something to think about. I wonder how many would actually say er well actually the airport is alright?
Now that would be interesting.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
