After having tuned in to YouTube to listen in to the panel I'm afraid I can't stand much more of it. Three words come to mind and they are Fred Karno's Circus. I'll just have to wait for the decision to be announced. Just Listened to a woman called Pickering objecting - can't believe what I am hearing.

I feel once we get to the in favour/for members who have proper facts and figures it will calm down and actually turn into what we call a meeting!

It’s so painful to watch.

The plans panel are letting 28 or so objectors speak for 2 mins each then will allow the 5 hero’s 8 minutes to speak.

it’s appallingly bad with NIMBY’s present and accounted for.

I mean there is an awful lot of people on here giving a running commentary of the meeting, i am not watching as WFH so keep checking here, surely some of you could of nominated yourself to support? doesn't sound like you are doing anything else but watching and commenting on the meeting
If I was "Zoom compatible" I would have loved to have spoken.

Am I correct in the assumption that no decision will be made today? Comments have been made that answers to questions made today, will be available before they make a decision.

Or, as I said before, am I listening to another meeting that is going on today because a lot of comments made above do not relate to the meeting.

This is the right meeting you watching. The Council's decision will be made today,

Happing now is that all public comments have to be heard and questions can be asked by the committee members. Next the committee members will hear directly from the airport and be able to ask them questions. It will then have time deliberate the decision.

Latest I read is don't expect the decision to be made until around 8pm.

Not wishing to prolong the agony but the Panel is considering the application and will make a decision, however, one option could be to defer a final decision pending the receipt of further information/clarification on issues raised during the meeting. Let’s hope not!

I'm fairly relaxed, surely if they reject they'll be subject to costly appeal which they'd ultimately lose?

hopefully it will benefit us that we are going last.. instead of them remembering negative points/posts, they have positive ones.. just a thought. fingers crossed though

Egg on face time.

I have been listening to the Sept meeting, even though I followed the link on LCC site.

I'll go and get my PPE.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
