Does anyone know how many and what type of aircraft will be based at MAN in 2020.

My understanding was
3 x 332
All the 752s (not sure how many that is)
4 x 321
? x 738

I know it has been said that an additional 5 will be based for 2020 and Jet2 could add more if aircraft come available but without any extras over the figure of 5, 24 based has been mentioned but unsure if this includes spares.

A run through of the current timetable does however produce 25 departures on some days both for first and second waves hence my question.

Many thanks

Jet2 Summer 2020

In the initial ACL report for S20 Jet2 were showing as having 3,473,788 more seats than in the same period for S19. This vast increase was due to them having taken the former Thomas Cook slots. This was a growth of 118%.

With the IATA Slot deadline having now been reached this increase has reduced to 48%, however this therefore calculates out at an additional 1,278,397 seats - if my calculations are correct.

That is still some hefty growth. I can see the largest A330 (388) been taken on, shifting the A330-200 to take over a B757 route, B757 shifts to take over a B737 route - the B737 provides additional uplift to other destinations. A quick look in the timetable shows the slot are now been used on ZTH - couple of pre 06:00 departures (earliest is 05:30).

I suspect there is more to come from Jet2. Will probably come in January.

Does anyone know which routes the 757 will fly on from Manchester?

Think the answer to your question @Jerry is where are they not going?

All destinations in Canaries, Balearics, Turkey, Cyprus, Mainland Spain, Portugal (inc FNC) plus others. The list is long.

I would reckon the A321 and B757 will be compensating a lot on capacity lost by TC and replaced by Jet2. I wouldn't be that surprised to see Titan spring back up in MAN with the 3 A321s to assist with uplift.

Which aircraft in the jet2 fleet would have 38 rows? Is it the A321s?

26 Rows = B733
33 Rows = B738
38 Rows = A321
42 Rows (6x abreast) = B752
42 Rows (8x abreast) = A332 (1x Air Tanker aircraft with 320 seats)
45 Rows (8x abreast) = A332 (2x Air Tanker aircraft with 327 seats)

It appears Jet2 are increasing frequencies - AYT now to 13 weekly, DLM now to 14 weekly, TFS to 17 weekly, PMI to 29 weekly - probably a lot more which will appear in the press release.

What's amazing about MAN for Jet2 is that it is Jet2's largest base by over 100 weekly frequencies at peak. (around 330 at the moment).

Jet2 - Manchester - Italy flight schedule changes due to the outbreak of #CronaVirus

Pisa – Route Suspended Was 5x weekly, Recommences at reduced 3x weekly from April 27th
Rome – Route suspended was 5x weekly, Recommences April 27th 6x weekly, Increases to daily from July 2nd
Turin - Route Suspended earlier than planned.
Venice – Route suspended was 5x weekly, Recommences May 21st 5x weekly
Verona – Route Suspended was 1x weekly, Recommences June 6th reduced from 2x to 1x weekly

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
