“In response to local measures introduced throughout Spain to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including the closure of bars, restaurants, shops and activities including any water sports, we have taken the decision to cancel all flights to Mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands with immediate effect. We know these local measures will have a significant impact on our customers’ holidays, which is why we have taken this decision.

We are contacting our customers who are currently in these destinations, and who are due to travel, to advise them of their options, so we urge customers not to call us.

This is a fast-moving and complex situation and we are reviewing our programme as a matter of urgency, so that we can fly customers back to the UK.

The health and safety of our customers is our number one priority, and we would like to thank our customers for their understanding.”

There are one or two posts in the BRS forum that suggest the prices for Jet2 flights and holidays that have recently been put on sale at BRS are noticeably higher than those of easyJet. MAN has a significant Jet2 and easyJet presence. Are Jet2 prices generally higher than easyJet at MAN?

Quick Check for x2 Adults - adding nothing on so base fare.

Jet2 - Monday 5th July OB, Monday 12th July IB.
AM flights - £560 for the couple.
PM flights - £406 for the couple.

easyJet - same dates. No choice of flights (terrible timings)
£361 for the couple.

The trouble is @TheLocalYokel with the press attention and what not coupled alongside the vaccine the website is going to be overloaded with people searching. Algorithms will send the price upwards. I've said it before and I'll say it again, leave it till December time at least then in a couple weeks prices will have come down due to searches not occurring in their highest frequency.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
