with the possible 4th rotation on certain days,is this in responce in stobart stopping cwl rotations till at least march next year. posters on another forum not happy, with some saying back to brs.
BRS-DUB
It doesn't look as though the fourth daily service on selected days of the week will commence until the 31 October this year and currently the booking engine is only showing the fourth rotation on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, but nothing on Sundays as originally stated in the press release.
Flight times are shown (DUB-BRS: BRS-DUB)
0650-0800: 0825-0940
1005-1115: 1140-1250
1400-1515: 1540-1655
1730-1840: 1905-2020
well I have always been intrigued by the timings of the Cardiff flights, especially the EI3291 as the timings do not really allow for many transatlantic connections, where as the EI3281 from BRS do as it is early enough that, provided there are no delays, to catch some morning transatlantic traffic. Take CWL-DUB-JFK for arguments sake.
The timings for tomorrow are the 0915 flight from CWL, arrive in DUB at 1025, layover for 5 hours 25 minutes then catch the 1610 to JFK.
The BRS-DUB-JFK offer much better options for connections. Again I am going to use the JFK as an example.
The timings for tomorrow's are the 0810 flight from BRS, arrive in DUB at 0925, layover for only 1hr 25 mins (enough time to grab a coffee and pre-clear customs) and catch the 1050 flight to JFK, giving you an extra 5.5 hours time to explore New York. So If I was a Welshman living over the bridge I would chose BRS because of the timings.
Don't understand that, they do rugby flights from Cardiff so why not football flights?Welsh football fans
I don't know. Are Ryanair doing any flights for this match? I would have thought they would.Don't understand that, they do rugby flights from Cardiff so why not football flights?
Not from Cardiff. From BRS there look like 3 rotations during the week days and and 2 on the weekends. Not sure if that's normal?I don't know. Are Ryanair doing any flights for this match? I would have thought they would.
Yes, that's the normal Ryanair BRS-DUB frequency this winter. Not from Cardiff. From BRS there look like 3 rotations during the week days and and 2 on the weekends. Not sure if that's normal?
I was looking at the arrival screens at BRS today and noticed that an Aer Lingus Regional (Stobart) from Dublin was also carrying a BA flight code. The airport's website arrivals and departures pages only seem to show the flight code/flight number of the operating airline but not partners, whereas many airport websites show several flight codes/flight numbers for the same flight.
I hadn't realised that the Aer Lingus Regional flights to BRS are also BA partner flights.
The arrival and departure screens in the terminal do show the codes shares. That's how I 'discovered' the BA code share with EI and the LM codeshare with BM today. It's the airport website arrival/departures pages that don't, but many other airport website arrivals/departures pages do show them. Probably another of the inadequacies of the BRS website arrivals/departures pages.Last time I flew from BRS the flight info screens in the terminal showed codeshares.
I believe the current codeshares are as follows:
KLM codeshare with the following: AF, AZ, DL, G3, KQ, MK, SU, 9W
BMI codeshare with LH, LOG, SN
EI codeshare with BA, EY
