That must mean a reduction of seats on offer overall though ?
We had four A321 movements a week this summer I

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. As I suspect like last year Thomas Cook are making some schedule changes with some flights been swapped around.. If it stays like this by November then start to worry as you correctly point out it would be an decrease in capacity!

I've just noticed that Thomas Cook have now also added some extra end of summer 2018 season flights to both Antalya and Dalaman from Leeds/Bradford in early November.

Thursday - Nov 1st
TCX163 = AYT 14:30 - LBA 16:05 / TCX162 = LBA 17:15 - AYT 00:30 = Airbus A320
Saturday - Nov 3rd
TCX161 = DLM 15:05 - LBA 16:35 / TCX160 = LBA 17:45 - DLM 01:00 = Airbus A321
Sunday - Nov 4th
TCX169 = AYT 14:35 - LBA 16:15 / TCX168 = LBA 17:30 - AYT 00:45 = Airbus A321

Re comment on the Monarch thread, are we getting leased A320's next year then, or are they getting something else?

We wont be seeing Thomas Cook Airlines own aircraft at Leeds/Bradford next summer 2019 season. All Thomas Cook Holidays flights are planned to be operated by other charter airlines. eg Freebird Airlines, Nouvelair & Air Europa.

Mondays
PMI 13:00 - LBA 14:40 / LBA 15:30 - PMI 19:05 = Air Europa - Boeing 737-800
DLM 16:25 - LBA 18:45 / LBA 19:45 - DLM 01:45 = Freebird Airlines - Airbus A320
Tuesdays
NBE15:15 - LBA 18:30 / LBA 19:30 - NBE 22:50 = Nouvelair Tunis - Airbus A320
Fridays
AYT 17:25 - LBA 19:55 / LBA 20:55 - AYT 03:05 = Freebird Airlines - Airbus A320

Brings a bit of variety to the airport

A bit strange, But good news is that I see that flight only deals on the Freebird Airlines operated flights to Antalya and Dalaman next summer 2019 are now bookable using Thomas Cook Airlines own website https://www.thomascookairlines.com/tca/tcauk/en/flight/search

Mondays
FHY671 = DLM 16:25 – LBA 18:45 / FHY672 = LBA 19:45 – DLM 01:45
Fridays
FHY677 = AYT 17:25 – LBA 19:55 / FHY678 = LBA 20:55 – AYT 03:05

The Nouvelair Tunisie flights to Enfidha & Air Europa to Palma are not available on flight only basis deals. They are only sold as part of a package holiday at www.thomascook.com

Thomas Cook Airlines aircraft (A320/A321) are back at LBA operating xmas charter flights up to Lapland for Santa Holidays during December as follows.

Tue 4th = TCX1302 - ETD 08:10 to Ivalo
Thu 6th = TCX1303 - ETA 16:05 From Ivalo
Sat 15th = TCX1302 - ETD 08:10 to Ivalo
Tue 18th = TCX1303 - ETA 16:10 From Ivalo
Thu 20th = TCX1302 - ETD 08:10 to Ivalo
Sat 22nd = TCX1303 - ETA 15:40 from Ivalo

The company is now suggesting to the city it will break the company up, to seperate the airline from the travel side.
It must be at least two years I advised this forum TC airways for sale, to date with no interest from any other party.
How it expects to see a saviour coming forward in the next few weeks, to me exposes the weakness of the present management.
Harriet Green moved the market value from £148m to £2b, and then sacked, now under Peter Fankhauser the company value £363m and falling.
After last weeks good figures On the Beach now has a market value of £541m, far in excess of TC, how the mighty have fallen.
Surely the future is custom made holidays, where you can build a holiday, flights, hotel, transfers, car hire etc from different suppliers through one platform. The down side was if one element fell over, there used to be no financial comeback, now the law changed and all parts one package, the city sees this the way forward.

I wonder if they'll try and turn the airline into more of a leisure orientated LCC selling more flight only seats?

Worrying times for the staff no doubt and not a nice position to be in. You can see why the LBA S19 programme has suffered cutbacks. Jet2 will once again be laughing their socks off. If the business model is right.........

Peter Fankhauser TC boss, stated last week that he was to close a huge chunk of the co-op travel stores and move to on line platforms, both the companies, but use on the beach etc.
The problem with seat sales is they don't want the airline, it's been for sale for two years, and I doubt they could take on Ryanair etc or even Jet 2 in the seat only market. In addition not any monies to make even the necessary IT changes required

Someone suggested on the other forum of using Easyjet and just stick with the long haul and Gambia and i think Egypt or just long and medium haul routes for the airline.

I can't get anything to come up at all Snowman. LBA is still on the list but whatever destination I put in comes up as 'No more holidays'. Surely Thomas Cook are not doing what TUi did and giving up on us too? Having said that, after the negative things I have been reading recently it wouldn't surprise me at all if they yet again shrunk back to just their main bases. Could be a seriously boring and disappointing Summer 2019 at this rate.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
