Surely this conversation should be in the Liverpool thread

Yes sorry, that's my fault. I was trying to highlight what easyjet are doing and it kind of veered of course.

Moved.

I don't think they will be much of a threat to jet2, they mainly go for route unserved from at airports, and in a few cases high dense routes that can support two airlines, IE Lees - Barcelona this route is viable for ryanair and jet2.com to operate on the route.

Don't hold me to this, As I'm not 100% sure the information is correct or just a rumour.

But I heard today that there could be the possibility of another new route announcement for LBA within the next couple of weeks by an existing airline/operator.

If anything, I'll go with the Monarch rumour.

im going for easyjet, there been a stir recently regarding them, wanting to launch to Grenoble in france, i think it was Grenoble, any way i do know for sure it was meant to be a winter route for skiers.

I understand that on a good day it's about 3 hours 45 mins but on other days it can take up about 4 hours flying distance from Leeds.

I have mentioned the destination and airline on this forum before, So if you have good look back and put the 2 together I'm sure you'll be able to work it out.....

Yeah I knew about the Monarch rumour. Well I think most people on here knew about it by now, As it's posted on plenty of websites and other forums. If I remember correctly I posted something about it on here a couple of weeks ago as well, as did others about them maybe working a Boeing 757 for Thomas Cook holidays next summer season.

Anyway I can confirm that the latest rumour is something completely different.

it want be ryanair because they have recently anounced new routes, strong dont think it will be thomson, jet2 have recently annouced the new berlin route, but said they was going to annoce more soon, so they could be a possiblilty, my bet is easyjet or thomas cook

Well if it's 'place your bets', I'll go with Frankfurt. We know the slots have been applied for (again! 🙄 )

Good grief, some good examples of the broken education system. I find it hard to understand some of the posts.

Well going on what Lbaspotter hinted at, and it being mentioned before, how about a Madrid route...? In line with next summer's operations or has the London route been secured finally.... :dunno:

It won't be London or Madrid as Lbaspotter has stated it's a route that lasts about 4 hours.
However as it's a rumour, users are anonymous to a degree and has been 'mentioned on here before', why do we have all this teasing instead if just saying what the route/airline is?

Right here goes, Seen as some people are getting wound up over this. Well I can say that Athens was the destination and PIA was the airline mentioned.

From what I was told, once they finally decide to upgrade from the current Airbus A310 to Boeing 777-200 the service won't be direct to/from Pakistan any-more. Instead it will route via Athens in both directions. I understand that PIA has fifth freedom rights so that they can offer seats on the Athens sectors from both Leeds and Islamabad.

Hence the routing will be as follows, Islamabad - Athens - Leeds - Athens - Islamabad.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
