On Thursday the FCO flight doesn't start until 14th September and the slot is empty between April and September.
Cork operates in the same slot as Faro between April and the 22nd June and resumes in October.

If Flybe go down to 6 E195s as suggested on the dried fruit forum could it be possible that CWL sees a based E175 or another Q400 from the beginning of W17/18?

Delayed because of the weather I guess. According to FR24 it's on approach to LCY right now.

It might but if they are retaining six I wonder if four might be retained at CWL and DSA between them as I understand the airport deals were favourable to Flybe with an aircraft type that the airline ultimately regretted having.

It looks like Flybe is in the process of changing their whole schedule for CWL. The EDI flight has moved forward 20 mins Dublin back by 40 mins. Munich has changed from evening to afternoon. Glasgow is not on sale some days and LCY is not on sale on a Saturday and Dublin is down for a Q400 in the mornings for Saturday and Sunday with Rome at 7.00 am on a Embraer. At the moment Belfast hasn't changed so it will be interesting to see if CWL is getting another Q400 on the weekend or how they'll fit DUB, LCY, BHD, DUS and GLA all in on the one aircraft.

Looks a much better schedule, although at the cost of some GLA. DUB is on DH4 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday therefore GLA no longer on sale Tues, Wed and Sat. DUS will be operated by DH4 on Saturday. Interestingly it is on sale most days with a connection via LCY! Both MUC and TXL have changed to afternoon flights, much better timings for them. ORK now moved from Saturday to Thursday. CDG may move slightly as only 25 min turn in the morning on some days. Elsewhere there's a lot more slack in the schedule to make up time during delays. Although the loss of 3 GLA and 1 LCY, this appears to be a much better schedule. I've written out a schedule on Excel, but i'm unable to upload it. Mods, it says xlsx is not an allowed extension?

Foxlimayankee is correct (He beat me too it, I also spreadsheeted the schedule and came up with the same).
However, I also counted the loss of the second EDI flight on Sundays.

We've seemed to have lost 3 weekly GLA and 1 weekly LCY and there does seem to be some slack in the schedule. I was hoping we'd get another new destination or increase on another route and that FCO would be 3 weekly all summer but the times for TXL and MUC are much better.

Dusseldorf operated in January 2016 with 408 passengers, average load 34, load factor 28.8%

Although passenger numbers are up on some routes compared with the previous January, reflecting increased frequency in most cases, the load factors are down on all routes except Paris CDG, Jersey and Cork with the latter two enjoying noticeably bigger loads.

Geneva and Chambery are particularly disappointing, and surprising, as loads were much better in January 2016. Glasgow and Faro also saw worrying dips in loads. I'm surprised that Berlin isn't seeing bigger loads although it is still a new route.

January is invariably the worst month for passenger numbers at UK airports and as ever the load factors never tell the complete story. Nevertheless, I'd be surprised if both the airline and the airport weren't privately concerned that some of the routes didn't fare better.

Glasgow has probably suffered because of the times being changed i think the return is at 23.35 so that could put people off. I think with Faro there are too many seats on sale, it would probably be better at 1 weekly in the winter and maybe replaced another ski route or maybe a winter sun route. I believe there hasn't been much snow as last year for the ski routes.
I think the airport and the airline will learn and may make some changes next year.

So i just booked a weekend away to Edinburgh for Easter and will be flying on one of the based E195's for the first time. Interestingly while i was deciding where to go, I looked at Rome, Milan and Berlin and IB Express Madrid. Flybe and IB Express were cheaper than Easyjet by some margin in some cases the only one that Flybe were the most expensive on was Milan as Ryanair was significantly cheaper on that route. Though i will admit i probably would've flown out of CWL anyway unless the price was way high, hopefully Flybe's prices being cheaper than EZY will attract more passengers to CWL and maybe disspell part of the myth that CWL is always more expensive.

The EDI flight there was only a small difference but for Berlin there was a big difference of over £100 and for Rome i think it was about £50. I'm wondering if the size of the aircraft makes a difference for airports like Rome and Berlin? Flybe's aircraft is smaller so i'm wondering if there fees might be lower? Hopefully the prices will attract people. The IB Express flight was a lot cheaper as well. I think by £100.

Interestingly we have booked our flights to Rome this summer with Flybe primarily because for a family of four it was several hundred pounds cheaper than the easyJet service that I would normally pick from Bristol. As I have said before I think some routes could do with some competition to lower the fares from brs. If say Warsaw can support two carriers then Rome etc certainly could.

Great to see people from across the bridge using our services here at CWL. Just goes to show what happens when the right routes are put on-sale, they're certainly competitive. Out of curiousity i'd like to know the 'leakage' if you like of BRS catchment to using CWL services (Doubt this is easy to determine by any means). FCO, MAD, NCL, BCN strike me as key leakage routes.

How revitalizing is it to talk about it in this context. Of course the leakage in the other direction is largely higher.

I have heard of people saying that there is always west country voices using Vuelings flights. It is good that Flybe services are attracting people from across the bridge as it does show that if CWL has the right destinations at the right price then it can attract people from outside of it's area.
