I wonder if they'd done that if they were at home? Cardiff Rugby are stilling playing their fixture against Toulouse with essentially the C team which will include academy players. I suspect Cardiff can't afford to lose the revenue.
This point was mentioned in the preview of the live Channel 4 coverage of the match. I wasn't able to watch the match itself because of other commitments but the Cardiff team seems to have acquitted itself well on the pitch under the circumstances.

I presume that the Toulouse party flew into and out of CWL. Which airline did they use?

I see the Cessna 550, owned by Jardine Norton Finance, is with Dragonfly today, I wonder if they will be the operators of the aircraft for Jardine Finance, it would make a nice addition to their portfolio.

CWL does not need EIR (op by EAI) at this time!

It has only just gotten back a 4 x weekly DUB service with Ryanair…and nobody wants to upset Mr O’Leary.

There are still plenty of people from South Wales using Ryanair from BRS because the flight timings are more convenient for them, and because there is a lot more frequency of flights.

From the passenger figures I’ve seen of late it would seem barely anyone is using them, regardless of where they live!

Emerald Airways announces 11 routes to begin in Summer 2022, yet again CWL has missed out.
Don't really need them at the moment and I'd have thought the airport might want Ryanair to be more established.

As the thread has branched out into Ryanair I've copied the relevant posts to the CWL Ryanair thread should anyone want to continue this discussion.

I've left the original posts in this thread for completeness.

As part of the Welsh government budget, shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure businesses will get 50% off their business rates from next April. I'm hoping that Cardiff Airport will be included in this and gets some benefit from it.

Interesting CV including the editorship of anna.aero at one time. Impressive academic qualifications relating to the industry as well as a good deal of practical experience in a managerial role at a major regional airport (BHX). Everyone will wish him well in his new position.

Munich is surprising but it is a major hub and good tourism destination, Milan and Rome could be options for Wizz. Will be interesting to see what happens!

I agree Jerry, he’ll need COVID to make a sharp exit from our lives to make some of this happen … I guess the one thing he can’t change are the hard facts of the market data, so I hope he’s up for the challenge!

The emphasis in the article appears to be talking around Hubs, MUC fits the bill for that and from looking at his LinkedIn, seems to have quite a following from a group in Lufthansa.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
