The first Caribbean cruise departure of the winter is tomorrow to Barbados, it's TUI operating on behalf of P&O Cruises. G-TUII a 787-8 is currently on it's way from Phuket in Thailand to operate the tomorrows flight. It's currently over the Bulgarian coast.

The Monday Enfidha flight must be operated by an away based aircraft then, unless there is more to come,we can live in hope.

No the departure is at 6 am. Being a bit cynical here but i wouldn't be surprised if eventually Enfidha gets cut back too 1 weekly especially now that the route is operated out of Bristol. Guess only time will tell.

TUI at CWL - Summer 2023

TUI have updated their schedules for summer 2023 and they now look somewhat complete.

There will be 3x based aircraft operating 44x departures per week from CWL in peak summer 2023 which is the same as in 2022. In fact, the routes and frequencies remain the same as 2022 and all flights are operated by TUI (so no external operators).

The only difference is that in 2022, on a Monday, a CWL based aircraft operated CWL-CFU-EXT-CFU-CWL (which took all day) and an ABZ based aircraft operated ABZ-DLM-CWL-DLM-ABZ.

In 2023, a BRS aircraft will now operate BRS-CFU-EXT-CFU-BRS, leaving CWL based aircraft to operate to CFU and DLM (and the ABZ aircraft now operates ABZ-DLM-GLA-DLM-ABZ). Although it doesn't increase the number of flights from CWL, at least all flights are operated by CWL based aircraft meaning less disruption to the schedule.

Good to see an extra summer route, it would be great if they boosted their winter programme to give CWL a better year round balance.

I see there are four early morning Monday flights at the moment could the Minorca flight, be used for the Sharm route I think it operated on a Monday previously in the afternoon. There must be a fourth aircraft for use on a Monday from another base.

I don't know. It'll be curious to see how they fit it all in. I'd be surprised if they dropped Menorca to 1 weekly for Sharm and I'd expect Sharm to be an early afternoon departure rather than a morning one.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
