Hopefully it won't effect Ryanair Faro too much.
I don’t think it will. Ryanair will be selling their base fares at a much lower price. As we’ve seen when Ryanair introduced Alicante, the route has gone from strength to strength.

TUI have been using Ryanair to sell holidays on though. But it is Ryanair so it'll probably mean more seat only seats on the route.

I don't think it will affect Ryanair that much, because they also have agreements with six other on line companies . including Expedia, On the Beach, and Love Holidays, perhaps the route was becoming so successful that TUI couldn't obtain the number of seats it wanted or needed from FR. Although of course we do not know yet what FRs intention is for the route next summer.

TUI store on Facebook advertising New York City from CWL on 12th January2026, four nights £880, other dates also available, good boost for the airport.

That’ll be KLM presumably?

But good to show people that a one-stop connection can get them many many places!

I think that’s all the based aircraft fully utilised. I imagine any additional will be away based. It would be good to get that number to 60 weekly departures.

Yes it is all the based aircraft utilised. It was pointed out elsewhere that Antalya was announced at going 4 weekly from 3 weekly but Antalya is only 2 weekly this summer after the other operator non based flight was cut.
Personally I suspect CWL will now be around the 55/56 weekly mark for a few years now and TUI will stagnate a bit.

An extra flight has been made available to Barbados on the 11th of December 2025. It’s a cruise flight, but package holidays can be booked too.
With TUI you can often book a mixture of both cruise and land based package holidays.
Good to see the extra departure.

That'll mean 7 departures to Barbados (3 TUI, 4 P&O) and 2 to Cancun over the winter season.

I’m hearing on Cardiff flights and deals Facebook page that TUI will be starting flights to the Dominican Republic. I’m unsure of the frequency but it’ll be starting on the 8th of December 2026.

Thats interesting. TUI are offering Punta Cana next June from Belfast for a limited period too.
TUI seems to be dipping back into long haul from the regions again.

Apparently linked to Marella Cruises so I'd expect a 1 off departure maybe 2. Still good news and shows confidence in CWL cruise market.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
