G-TAWD back in service today going CWL-TFSBird strike
Fantastic news! About time the ski market got a bit of action from CWLNEW ROUTE, CWL to TURIN starting Sunday 20th December 2026 ski holidays, with Crystal Ski Holidays, operated by TUI. ( Credit to CN&I)
Surprised by that but good to Italy back on the departure boards.
It'll be interesting to see if in 2027 we see a Lakes and Mountains holiday destination returnAnd also good to see more aircraft utilisation on Sundays in the winter time too
TRN is excellent not just for ski holidays but lakes and mountains holidaying too.
It’s only TUI capitalising on the ski routes at the moment, but hopefully other airlines are taking note and add one or two.Now it's nice to see CWL expanding in the winter, and reducing the passenger gap between the seasons, the figures for 2026 should be very good.
You can book a flight only option but it doesn't look like their are online holiday options. Might have to go to a store for that. Will TRN be bookable outside of Crystal Ski Holidays?
Times and the winter market has changed since those days. BMIbaby also didn't fly as far as the canaries, which is essential for winter flights. When you look at how many ski flights go from Bristol every week as well, the ski market has grown a fair bit.I remember years ago the CEO of BMI Baby, saying that he could fill every plane he had from CWL in the summer, but the passenger take up at CWL in the winter was very low. Now it's nice to see CWL expanding in the winter, and reducing the passenger gap between the seasons, the figures for 2026 should be very good.
I could have sworn it was on there a few months ago. Perhaps the uptake wasn’t as popular as they’d have hoped for the sake of 2 departures a year. A shame if it has been pulled.Looking at the dates available on the TUI website it doesn't look like Cancun will return for 2027
