Exactly!I doubt it because LCC have already proposed to close Scotland Lane as a cut through which would be fine if they sorted out the main roads to the airport but they chose to can the link road.

Its still the plan to build a new road from the A658, North of the Avro factory, linking to the proposed new employment hub and the parkway station. Effectively the Northern end of the canned link road.I doubt it because LCC have already proposed to close Scotland Lane as a cut through which would be fine if they sorted out the main roads to the airport but they chose to can the link road.
If mere mortals like us on the forum can forsee these issues why can't highly paid staff at LCC Leeds Clown College! Its still the plan to build a new road from the A658, North of the Avro factory, linking to the proposed new employment hub and the parkway station. So it seems the intention is to use the parkway station for commuters coming from the Otley, Pool, Arthington and Yeadon areas, with ( as I understand it) pedestrian access from the lower end of Cookridge.
If Scotland Lane is closed to through traffic, it will not only stop people living along Scotland Lane accessing the parkway station, but also the airport. Seems a bit counter productive! It would force people to access the airport from Horsforth via Bayton Lane (itself inadequate) and create real traffic issues at the junction with Yeadon High Street and A658. It would also do little to relieve pressure on Horsforth Station, the busiest in Leeds outside of Leeds City.
But, this is Leeds. North West Leeds! Where nothing ever gets done.

We can move but only on bikes ha haWe will still be talking about the proposed parkway station in 10 years time, this is leeds we are talking about here!! Powerhouse of yorkshire, 2nd financial centre of uk and 3rd most populated city but yet no one can move due to no transport infrastructure! Total joke!
ExactlyWe can move but only on bikes ha ha
East being the operative word!!!!Exactly, nothing ever happens in leeds, all we get at most are so called road improvements that make no difference whatsoever, the only decent transport infrastructure i can think of is the new East orbital ring road
Speaking of bikes, WYCA have just approved a new railway station at Elland costing £49 million (the original estimate was £20.3 million!) with a further £22 million to be spent on new cycling and walking routes. £22 million!! No doubt the new commitment by WYCA to the LBA Parkway will go the same way with ever increasing costs and seemingly limitless amounts to spend on cycle ways. That is if the Brabin “shovels in the ground” ever materialise. We can move but only on bikes ha ha
Is that the name of the new local transportation company set up purposely for it!!!!!It won't be taxis from park way station it will be Rickshaws
