So load factors not good then?Judging by past numbers I reckon they’ve not upset too many people by this

Low by Easyjet standards.70 percent LFs. Not too bad
But enough for them to increase flights in the winter!Low by Easyjet standards.
Yes, its an anomally. But enough for them to increase flights in the winter!
No change to the schedule - it was already like thisLooks like EZY have been chopping and changing the winter schedule, some weeks it’s down to 2. Good news is that it still goes back up to 5. Hopefully good forward bookings could encourage them to add more. Still plenty of time.
Apologises! Stand corrected. Good news then.No change to the schedule - it was already like this
Most easyjets, ryanairs and wizz aircraft dont backtrack at luton and their runway is just a tiny bit shorter than ours!Flew easyjet to Belfast this evening. Having tracked it all day back and forth between London and alicante it had lost a few minutes here and there but clawed it back or so it appeared however was late to Leeds. Pilot stated delay from London leg and Air traffic control delays. So not sure if Flight radar was wrong or just been spun a line.
Also they didn't back track full length of 32 so I hoped he'd done his calculation correctly! I caught the co pilot getting off stating no backtrack 32 on short enough runway and he said he thought that and he laughed.
Nice flight
The flight to Belfast is just a short hop so a light fuel load and probably not a full passenger and baggage load either. There's plenty of room for take off at Leeds on an A319 certainly, (as you seem to suggest), for such a short sector. Most easyjets, ryanairs and wizz aircraft dont backtrack at luton and their runway is just a tiny bit shorter than ours!
Yes, but runway is no use behind you. Always safer to back track. The flight to Belfast is just a short hop so a light fuel load and probably not a full passenger and baggage load either. My sentiments exactly!Yes, but runway is no use behind you. Always safer to back track.
I totally agree, but clearly the crew were confident in their aircraft doing the job without the need to abort. It must be acceptable practice or it wouldn't be done. KLM do it too, and Aer Lingus, though those ATRs look like they could depart off an aircraft carrier!Yes, but runway is no use behind you. Always safer to back track.
Yes, its becoming increasingly common, and it fine until something goes wrong. There are plenty of accident reports identifying better outcomes if the full length of the runway had been used.I totally agree, but clearly the crew were confident in their aircraft doing the job without the need to abort.
