Well 2 months until the oranges are back at LBA. It's got me thinking this will be the third season of Easyjet operating to Geneva from LBA, i was wondering why they haven't decided to launch more routes. Now im not saying they should go all out and open a base but it wouldn't go a miss another 3 to 4 routes from LBA, besides it make a change to seeing the colours blue and red on the apron, it needs brightening up

Who operates the GVA route - easyJet Switzerland or easyJet? If the latter it's presumably on a 'W'. If so, does anyone know which base the aircraft is from?

Concorde Lover, What are you talking about. The apron is going to be very colourful this winter, Blue, Red, Orange and Yellow. :D

Might also be a dark blue and white aircraft operating for Jet2 next summer..... Be good to get an EasyJet orange in there too, a real multicolour mix!

Is that a new livery or another stand-in aircraft..?!

Without getting too off topic, the JMC colours always brightened up the ramp for me..! The Lime Green was very unique! Did JMC operate any flights from LBA..?

Perhaps, easyJet have been tempted to stand back and see how Monarch do this Winter on the competing ski route(s) and also see how they do next Summer..! If we don't see any expansion from them by Winter 2013/14 then something must be holding them back!!

Nope not a new livery. Struggling to get hold of some reasonably priced 737-800's so the plan is to lease in a slightly larger aircraft than a 737-800. I'm not saying any more!

Oh yes JMC were lovely, JMC and MyTravel are deffo two of my favourite liveries! Anyway back to easyJet...

Whilst it would be great having more routes from easy, I don't think it would be a good idea. Whilst LBA is currently under served, it will never be MAN and the present airlines could not sustain another carrier diluting yields. I think if easyJet did expand at LBA, that would be the catalyst for Ryanair to pull out and put the LBA aircraft into MAN and royally screw EasyJet over there. It's all about PR with those two airlines, that would certainly make headlines and give media coverage.

I personally think we will only ever get the winter GVA, and I think that route still has to prove itself. Last year some days it was packed, other days it had 50 passengers on.

There's an Easyjet flight to Geneva showing on the departure board tomorrow at 15:05 but no inbound flight. Is this the first flight of the winter season for Easyjet or is the FIDS wrong?

You guessed it in one channex 757 as the FIDS is wrong yet again. Easyjet's Geneva flights don't start until Saturday, December 15th 2012.

Tomorrows easyjet LBA-GVA is 100% full again, 157 pax on the A319 and it's not even peak ski season yet. I have a feeling this route will either go daily for winter 13/14 or we will be seeing the A320 5 x a week.

Bournemouth seem to have 2 flights to Geneva today, would be great to see Easyjet sending another Saturday flight out if loads are good!

This ski season is proving to be very good, snow levels so far have been good and it seems that people are starting to spend again on those second winter ski holidays.

I wouldn't be surprised to see extra Geneva flights, or maybe upgrading to an A320?

Yes but BOH doesn't have Jet2 on the route. An upgrade to A320 will happen before the route goes double on a Saturday.

According to Servisair, 90 on the outbound EasyJet today and 130 on the inbound. Jet2 had 220 outbound and 195 inbound.

The inbound EasyJet always seems to have more than the outbound and opposite for Jet2, the outbound is much stronger than the inbound. This must be due to the timings as afternoon departures from the UK are not great for getting to the ski resorts so Jet2 have a slight advantage there.

EasyJet seem to do very well though, I can't see it double daily as the flights are on w patterns I'm not sure how they would be able to really as they would both originate from another airport (GVA) so would be within a few hours of each other. Perhaps A320's at the weekends though!

See the new Easyjet figures show the leap in sales now they have a seat allocation system.
EJ also announce that planes now loading quicker, what a surprise, how anyone could think the previous system quicker beyond me.
as one who was sick of writing to complain about the failure of speedy boarding, surprised that the promise Carolyn McCall made to me when she first joined that she would trail seat allocation came to fruition. Think I should right and ask for a fee as I said sales would boom if she changed to seat allocation.
My letters to M O L on priority boarding have never been replied too, bet he is looking at 33% increase in E J profits and working out if he should have total seat allocation.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
