Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Heads up.

I've heard elsewhere that there is the possibility of a military movement into Leeds/Bradford tonight as some Yorkshire Regiment troops are heading home for 5 weeks leave from there base Germany after severing in Afghanistan.

I just hope they charter something instead of using either a Jet2 scheduled flight from Amsterdam or Dusseldorf. RAF VC10, L1011 Tri-Star or one of there new A330's would suite me down to ground nicely

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Loganair sent in Saab 340, G-LGNH this morning on there first Glasgow service.

Loganair are using alpha numeric ATC flight numbers as well. I will get them tied up and listed a bit later this evening.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Does anybody know if the loads was good? and was there a military charter that came into LBA like mentioned above?

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I noted on Sunday that we had what appeared to be a private version of the Embraer 145 , with white and blue markings. I have seen this aircraft come in before and I seem to recall it was visiting Multiflight. Does anyone know if this latest visit was for the same purpose?

Hi Heather

Yeah that would have been the GAMA Aviation, Embraer EMB-135BJ Legacy, VP-CPL. I understand she departed Leeds yesterday afternoon at around 17:10.

Hope that helps

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Jet2's Boeing 737-800WL, G-GDFC departed Leeds at 17:00 this afternoon as EXS054B back to Glasgow.

Meanwhile Boeing 737-300, G-CELJ is positioning back into Leeds from Glasgow as EXS053B after covering G-GDFC's flying duties since Monday afternoon.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Just a little update.

Jet2'S Boeing 737-300, G-CELC also positioned into Leeds from Glasgow last night as EXS070J. Meanwhile one of the Leeds based aircraft is due to position out over to Manchester this afternoon as EXS033R at 13:45

Also either one of the following Boeing 737-300's: G-CELO, G-GDFB or the new G-GDFH is to position in to Leeds from Belgrade this evening at around 18:00 after having its c-check completed as EXS052K.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Well can now confirm that it was Boeing 737-300, G-CELG that positioned out to Manchester this afternoon as EXS033R. This replaced the expensive Hamburg Airways, Airbus A319 that had to be leased in this morning to cover some Manchester flying.

Boeing 737-300, G-CELO was due into Leeds this evening as EXS052K returning from Belgrade after having her C-check but she has gone to Manchester instead.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Hi

Due to a tech aircraft down in Alicante this morning ryanair sent in a spare London Stansted based Boeing 737-800WL, EI-DLE

She positioned into Leeds as RYR01P and went onto operate the RYR3BW to Alicante as scheduled. It then operated the return inbound RYR8EB about 7 hours late. After a quick turn-a-round the aircraft was positioned back to Stansted as RYR02P.

It just goes to show that Ryanair do sometimes look after there passengers!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Well i'm going to break the peace seen as its been quite on the forum since yesterday afternoon for some reason.

Anyway just to let you know that another Jet2.com Boeing 737-300 returning into Leeds from Belgrade tomorrow evening (Thursday 17/05/12) at 19:00 as EXS052K after having it's c-check.

It should either be G-GDFB or the new G-GDFH as they are the only 2x remaining Boeing 737-300's missing from action along with the 2x Boeing 757-200WL's G-LSAN which is down in Southend having it's pre-delivery works done and G-LSAK which is still on lease to Rak Airways.

Meanwhile Boeing 757-200, G-LSAG which has been Leeds based since Monday morning is to position up to Glasgow tomorrow afternoon at 13:00 as EXS041A

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

According to FlightRadar24 G-GDFG operating LS343 to Venice is returning to LBA. The flight departed at 07:50 and turned around above Norwich.

Was just about to post that! Why do I never take the scanner to work!
Looks to be just turning for finals on 14

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I think it might be worth the mention that BHAir re-commence their Burgas operations this coming Sunday (20th).

Flights are expected to be operated by one of their own A320's and will arrive and depart LBA at 1635 and 1735 respectively.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Should have probabley been noted under weather and technical delays but yes the LS343 Venice did return to LBA yestreday half an hour after it took off, after receiving a hit to the skipper's side cockpit windscreen creating a few decent sized cracks, the aircraft returned safely and I believe the PAX flew out 2 hours or so later on the 10:00 inbound LS206 Amstredam.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

A hit by what? By the time they were over Norwich they would have been way to high for birds and a lightning strike wouldn't usually cause a glass breakage would it?

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

For anyone that's interested today's, EXS052K flight from Belgrade should see Boeing 737-300, G-GDFB returning back home after having it's C-check completed.

Thus just leaving Boeing 737-300, G-GDFH down in Belgrade having it's C-Check and Boeing 757-200WL, G-LSAN down in Southend having it's paint job and pre-delivery works completed.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Thanks for the updates Lbaspotter! It should be good to see what livery G-LSAN will end up in!

It seems like G-CELV is currently doing circuits at LBA as LS051B, and has been doing since about 1710 local time. I presume this is in response to the previous gear problems we have been told she has experienced!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
