20:40 SOUTHEND LS138C

Jet2 have been running charters for Ford to Germany, Romania and Istanbul from Southend.

Presumably this is an aircraft for that flight.

Does anyone know the reg. numbers of planes from 3 flights?

Hi all,

I'm trying to identify the planes that worked three flights which I travelled on. They are as follows:

LBA-BCN - 22.10.2010 - Jet2 B737 - LS231
LBA-DUS - 14.01.2011 - Jet2 B737 - LS347
DUS-LBA - 17.01.2011 - Jet2 B737 - LS348

If anyone could tell me the registration numbers I'd be really grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Does anyone know the reg. numbers of planes from 3 fligh

EXS231 LBA - BCN operated by G-CELB
EXS347 LBA - DUS operated by G-CELG
EXS348 DUS - LBA operated by G-CELG

Hope this helps.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Scot Airways Dornier 328 G-BWIR just arrived from Amsterdam and will depart to Bournemouth around 1500 according to the departures board. Also todays Easyjet flight from Geneva was an A320 G-EZTK not an A319.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

What looked like a Nimrod just flew over - 4 engines, circular dish on the roof. Amazing sight. I went onto the Multiflight webcam to see it land but it didn't. And as I type it's just flown past again!! I'm getting the camera out in case it comes round again. Anything to do with those exercises over the North Sea the BBC mentioned?

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Has a Nimrod ever landed at Leeds?. I know a few military aircraft have landed at Leeds in the past but the Nimrod was a nice sight to see.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

RAF Boeing E-3D Sentry ZH103 has just done 2 missed approaches onto LBA's runway 32. Looks to be heading away now as his just been handed back over to London Mil.

We may get to see some more military movements over the next couple off days as Europe's biggest military training exercise is taking place over North Yorkshire and the North Sea.

This also involves the Navy and Army along with 34 aircraft from 8 different countries. I know RAF Leeming currently has some French Alpha's based there at the moment.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Hopefully we'll see more. I was hoping it would come round again as I had camera ready. Anyone know why it was here? Was it attempting a landing or just flying round?

In answer to your question LUFC Jonno, Yes I am 100% sure the RAF's Nimrod Aircraft had landed at LBA in the past. But I'd just like to point out that all the RAF's Nimrod aircraft have now been retired.
The last one been 51 Sqn,s Nimrod R1, XW664 which was retired in July after returning to RAF Waddington from its final deployment in support of Operation Ellamy (Libya). She is now on display at East Midlands Aeropark.

It is understood that 3x ex-USAF Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint aircraft will replace the Nimrod R1's in 2014 and they will be known as Air Seeker in RAF service.

Hope that helps.

Showing off to ATC by all accounts. ;)

I only had a few minutes notice before it flew over so no chance of any pictures.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

This aircraft was so unusual, my daughter (who has little interest in aircraft) e mailed me at work tell me that a big 4 engine jet with a big 'aerial' sticking out at the front, and a 'big dish' on the top, had just gone into land at LBA, and wanting to know what it was. I did tell her it was probably a Boeing Sentry (AWAC?) doing a missed approach, so thanks for confirming that lbaspotter. Less happy though that I missed the thingnn as I have never seen one at LBA.

Many thanks for your help spectrum and sorry for the delay in thanking you.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

It looks like LBA will be receiving another Jet2 B757 in the form of BIE404F from Paris 0515, the aircraft is G-LSAI returning from charter duties.

Also do we know why Thomas Cook are positioning our based aircraft down to EMA on Tuesday morning as TCX857P?

Hi tomleeds just a little update for you

Jet2 Boeing 757-200, G-LSAI is still down in Paris today on lease operating charters for Air Mediterranee.
LBA based Boeing 757-200, G-LSAM positioned out to Paris last night as BIE566F to operate an extra charter for Air Mediterranee. On its return to the UK this morning operating as BIE404F she went to GLA instead off coming into LBA.

I'm taking a wild guess but the LBA based TCX A320 aircraft will most likely be required for operational reasons down at EMA on Tuesday and Wednesday. I understand that she will return to LBA on Wednesday evening direct from Antalya.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I'll second that as i did hear something low and loud a few times which looked very much like a Lynx Wildcat or something of the sort about 3NM SE of EGNM

Jet2 Boeing 737-300, G-GDFK was having an engineering test flight as she is due to enter revenue service in the next couple of days.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
