First visit of Jet2 Boeing 737-800 G-DRTD

This airframe arrived yesterday from Belfast International as EXS043A, and this morning departed as EXS049A to Munich to collect the East Midlands to Rhodes passengers that diverted to the Bavarian city on Sunday afternoon.

G-NOAH departed to Malaga as CRV1 yesterday, and this afternoon crossed 'the pond' and has just arrived at Bangor Maine. It must be common for the crew to wake up each day and think 'where the he11 are we' !!!
Does anyone know who owns this A319? I assume the recent couple of visits were related to horseracing at York (or wherever - it isn't a sport that floats my boat at all).

It is operated and managed by Acropolis Aviation in Farnborough. It goes to wherever the customer chartering it wants to go. It does get charted a lot by Irish horse-racing families which explains the frequent trips to Ireland, and to wherever the big horse races are.
Here's more on the aircraft: https://www.acropolis-aviation.com/aircraft/acj319/

Thanks for that Severn.

Well Vista Jet CRJ 9H-ILA was up there when I popped up yesterday evening, so I don't know if that was for the gee-gees or not.

Just a heads up notice.
The annual York Races "Ebor Festival" starts tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd and runs until Saturday 25th, hopefully we may see some interesting biz jet and freight movements.

As expected there are some movements associated with the York Races today:

EC-LMR - B.146-300(QT) - ASL Airlines Spain (Operating for ASL Airlines Belgium/TNT Express)
Arrived from SNN as TAY1476 just after 08:00 this morning and is scheduled to depart just before 20:00 this evening back to SNN as TAY1477.

It's quiet on the biz-jet front today with the arrival of a Netjets Citation XLS in from Cork at midday and staying for the afternoon before heading back.
The other three movements are all departures with the VistaJet and two others heading off to Spain.

Are the biz jets now likely to go to Leeds East being much nearer to York than LBA.

There are no flights into Leeds East as far as I can see.
Remember it is only open from 08:30 to 18:00 every day, there are no instrument approaches (meaning anything other than good weather and visibility you won't be going in there) and it's limited to aircraft under 12m in length due to the number of fire fighting vehicles/equipment the airport has. Even some of the smallest biz-jets are over 12m in length so I don't think you'll find Leeds East will be taking any commercial biz-jet traffic away from LBA for the time being.

Many thanks Severn for the useful and technical information, much appreciated for the likes of me and others without this information.

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
I've added a link to Postimages.org as an alternative option for posting images here on Forums4airports. You can continue to post images with us but for prolific posters who love to share lots of images, this might be a better option for you.
All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
