Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Noticed no one has picked up on the fact that yesterdays, Astraeus charter flight AEU730 from Enontekio-Lapland has still not arrived back into LBA as yet, Even though its 24 hours late so far!

Its now not due in until 19:45 this evening. I see Astreaus and Jet2 are both heading back to Lapland on day charters tomorrow from LBA as well.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Has anybody any idea what happened there? Did the aircraft go tech or was it a weather divert that caused the delay?

RAF VC10

In at the moment, parked on the old runway 28 (taxiway N). XV105. Looks to be a shortish stay.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Heard the VC10 coming out and am sure he had a red Christmas Tree on his tail! anybody else see this,
but whatever a good non-diverted visitor!

Inbound divert to LBA = Wednesday 22/12/10

KLM1489 Amsterdam to Humberside service operated by Fokker 70, PH-KZU diverted to LBA this lunchtime.

Affirm, stand 21. Was de-iced and positioned back out just after lunch time. The crew were bussed to HUY with the pax.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Looks like are resident British Airways Airbus A320, G-EUUV will be leaving LBA this evening. BA9251P is showing up on the airport's live departures screen now with an ETD off 17:30 to London Heathrow.

Now before anyone says owt. Yes its already past 17:30 so its been delayed. Might be down to getting slots allocated into Heathrow or maybe down to de-iceing which is been carried out by all aircaft this evening.

I also noticed that the aircraft actully re-positioned back into HUY after it left LBA to pick up its outbound HUY-AMS passengers.

The invisible man flew it using the aircraft’s autopilot. There again Santa might have nicked it to warm up while we have had the freezing fog yesterday instead of flying through it with his reindeers while in training for tomorrow nights duties. It was only yesterday that a Ryanair Captain reported seeing a UFO while inflight from his Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Take a look on the ryanair website, you’ll know what I’m on about...

Nah only joking. Seen that it’s Christmas

Been serious now, My guess is that it will have been most likely operated by a local based KLM standby Crew here at LBA. But it defiantly repositioned out to HUY as I watch it depart of 32 and heard him get clearance to HUY from ATC.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

According to the departures it is operating an outbound to Southampton after it comes in tomorrow, so it is probably a charter and possibly something to do with a football fixture, although I haven't checked the fixtures, so that is a wild guess. Maybe Huddersfield are playing Southampton at St Mary's Stadium?

Heather,

They are indeed - on Tuesday.

Can you predict results as accurately as fixtures? If so, you could make a fortune. :hatsoff:

Compliments of the Season.

Anyone?

This flight has just landed from Dundee and was operated by Scot Airways, DO328 - G-BZOG. She is due out in a little while as CB421 to Southampton. As somebody else has mentioned it, It is in fact a private charter for Leeds Utd as they are due to play Portsmouth tomorrow.

The team will also fly back to LBA tomorrow evening with the above mentioned Scot Airways aircaft.

The OS1467 is positioning in empty from Vienna tomorrow morning to operate the first of this winters ski charters to Innsbruck (OS9386) for Crystal Holiday. This flight should be operated by an Austrian Airlines/Lauda Air, Boeing 737-800. It operates on Tuesday for both this and next weeks due to the festive period. The service will revert back to a normal Saturday operation from January 8th 2011.

Meanwhile The GSZ487 is a miss type. I think? It should be showing WOW487 which is the normal Air Southwest scheduled service.

And last but not least, CB422 is the returning Leeds Utd footie charter operated by Scot Airways.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
