Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

So I'm guessing the a/c tech in BFS is a QC? Which is why Jet2 have aircraft flying all over the place for various 'missions'!
Surely it would make more sense to send the Blackpool aircraft to cover at Belfast and send this G-FIXE straight to Belfast to operate the Mail flights, rather than moving aircraft here, there and everywhere!

I think Jet2 were trying to bring the Belfast aircraft back to Leeds to get it into the hanger. Leeds crew flew out last night to Belfast with a Leeds aircraft and I think they returned with one of the Belfast aircraft.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Hi

Last nights LS327/328 LBA-Belfast-LBA was operated in both directions with the Belfast based B737-300, G-CELV.

LBA based G-CELH is in Belfast helping out as she positioned out empty as LS41A yesterday afternoon along with B737-3QC, G-CELP from Edinburgh as LS31E.

Blackpool based B737-300, G-CELK positioned in last night as LS31E to cover the loss of aircraft (G-CELH) at LBA as its not required over at BLK. It was flown in using A LBA crew who had travelled over by Car to BLK to pick up the said aircraft. No BLK crew is out of place. All LBA flights are been operated by LBA crews.

The Euro Airpost B737-3QC F-GIXE is to be stationed at Edinburgh to cover fof B737-300, G-CELP, while thats away over in Belfast coving the sick G-CELY.

Hi, does anyone know what is wrong with G-CELY?

Don't know what was wrong with her (B737-3QC, G-CELY) but it looks like she is back in action. She has flown the first off tonight's Belfast-East Midlands, Royal mail flights by looks of things.

Also it looks as though the LBA Based B737-300, G-CELH is back home and must have arrived back either late last night or in the early hours of this morning as LS43A.

Meanwhile the Blackpool based B737-300, G-CELK has operated the LS271/272 Alicante rotations and has now returned back to Blackpool this evening as LS31E..

So looks like everything is back to normal now for jet2 ops.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

I'm not sure if they took off from LBA, but what looked like (through the low cloud) a couple of Apache Helicopters just flew over Cookridge.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

From what I saw and heard at about 1pm they transitted overhead the LBA (end of 32 threshold) from the SW and headed NE towards Harrogate

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Klm Embraer 190 just landed runway 14 PH-EZS according to my Sbs receiver. 0940 25/06/2011.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

yer it has its parked on stand 7 with the air bridge i have seen it on the webcam

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Is that the first one of its type? The KLM has just landed a few minutes ago, but it was back to a F70 on the lunchtime rotation, but hopefully a sign of things to come in the future!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

According to Radio Leeds the Lancaster of the Memorial Flight should be overhead Leeds City centre at about 14 35 today

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Heads up

Titan Airways are due into LBA this coming Friday, July 1st 2011 to operate the first of this years outbound pilgrimage flights to Tarbes/Ossun-Lourdes for Tagney Tours

The aircraft should position in at 15:00 as AWC2012 and depart at 17:00 as AWC2013. Type off aircraft is unknown but I can tell you they (Titan) do operate a mixed fleet of Aircraft.

PS.. Watch out as there are some more unusual visitors due into LBA over the next couple of weeks....

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Yes thank you very much Lbaspotter.

Just for people's reference, today's Thomson B763WL from/to Palma should be G-OBYH.

Regards,
Tom.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

This afternoon we have the annual flight to Lourdes

The flight is scheduled for 17:00 departure as the AWC2013 (Titan Airways). The aircraft is due to arrive at LBA at 15:00 according to the LBA website.

I think the aircraft is going to be a 757 if anybody can confirm this?

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Today's annual charter flights from/to Lourdes for Tagney Tours should be operated by Titan Airways wide bodied Boeing 767-300, G-POWD. with Callsign ZAP (AWC2Q)

So watch this space.

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

That very aircraft is over the Midlands right now having departed from Lourdes/Tarbes, and since the Titan flight is due in at LBA at 1531, it very much appears that it is G-POWD lbaspotter. A nice surprise!

Re: Movements Log & Heads Up

Yes it was a very nice surprise. Let's hope that this is a regular for the annual flights. I did wonder why Thomson were put onto Stand 10 when 8 was free.. :)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
