So for a bit of fun which commercial airliner types have never operated at Leeds so far. My list is as follows., feel free to correct or add to them.
Airbus A380.
Airbus A340-200,300,or 600.
Airbus A330-300.
Boeing 747-800.
Boeing 747-400.
Douglas MD11.
Boeing 787.
Boeing 767-400.
Ilyushin IL76.
Ilyushin IL86.
Ilyushin IL96.
Antonov AN224.
Antonov AN124.

A300boy you need to take A330-300 off your list as we had an Air Luxor one that operated on behalf of Planet Air. We had one IL-76 which diverted in from EMA one saturday morning. I don't remember the airline though but I believe either the fuel or the freight company were on strike there.

a300boy, Air Luxor operated an A330-300 into Leeds Bradford in the past. I think you may have missed out the A340-500 and a couple of Tupolevs. Good list by the way.

I don't think we have ever had a Boeing 717, which was the name given to the latest and smallest versions of the MD80 series - they looked like a DC9 but with updated engines and not many were produced. I think Boeing canned them after buying out McDonnell Douglas.

If you go back further, we never had a Trident (either 1C, 1E, 2 or 3), but we did have a Vanguard/Merchantman on one occasion I can recall.

We have also never had a Tupolev Tu204 (their 757 copycat) and I am not certain but I don't think we have had a Boeing 737 900 series yet either? Nor did we ever have the original 100 series which were mainly operated by Lufthansa.

White Heather, Spanish airline Quantum Air did operate a B717 flight into Leeds a few years ago. Has an Airbus A318 or a Boeing B737-600 ever been to the airport?

LUFC Jonno is correct, we did have a B717. We have had a KLM 737-900 on diversion and a Globespan 737-600 operated a sub charter for Astraeus when they were here. You were correct that we never had a Trident actually on the ground, but we did have a Northeast Trident 1E do 2 approaches to RW15 as was, before it flew on to Church Fenton to take part in their SSAFA air display, around 1972/73.

We have a wealth of knowledge on this forum. From the old days we could also add the Britannia as we had a low approach and go around by one but never a landing I believe. How about a Mercure ? pretty sure I have seen a B720 at Leeds but cannot remember who,s. Keep em coming.

Hasn't there been an a318 private jet in at LBA before

I think you are right a300boy. I think it was a private aircraft from somewhere in the middle east.

Private Saudi B720 HZ-KA4 in the mid to early 80s. Also MEA B.720 doing sub charter work for Hispania(I think) in late 80s/early 90s.

Pete, I posted a photo of a MEA at LBA which is in the nostalgia thread photos, but I had it down as a Boeing 707. They were hard to tell apart, so maybe it was a 720 - or maybe we had both as I seem to recall MEA coming in more than once on sub charters.

The Saudi B720 operated off the runway before the extension was open I believe. The MEA was actually a Boeing 707-300.

What about a 757-300?

I've been on a Thomas Cook one from Manchester a few years ago
I believe they are the only uk operators of that type, they have 2

yes mea did a few subcharters and 1 time was a B720. Pretty sure of that. HZ-KA4 went off the short runway. we have had at least 1xTCX B753

sorry please move my post to appropriate thread and delete this post.cheers

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
