It reminds me of All Nippon (ANA). It's not bad, but I'd like to see a little more colour even if just in the dots below 'be' on the tail.

This new livery might be cheaper for them in the long run - fewer colours to order at the Air Livery paint shop!

The Eurohub ramp is going to look a mess with three different Flybe liveries

The new logo is ok but it looks unfinished. There was never a need to change to a new livery and there was never a need to change to the previous livery.

Flybe need to get better at doing the basics. What they should be concentrating on is brand loyalty which is far more important. Timekeeping, serviceability and customer satisfaction are not going to change with a lick of paint.

All looks a bit of a mess to me so now we will have three different logos but at least in my opinion the latest is the better though not great although 6/7years to complete is hopeless they will never get a proper identity.

You only have to look at the mess B.A..got themselves into with the "tails" and only sorted it with the adoption of the union flag with a little help of a certain Margaret Thatcher and her hanker chief. They now have a brand regonised worldwide, Flybe need one U.K.wide for starters.

I like the current scheme with just that little flash of colour that really stands
out, the new is nice but just a little bland and perhaps large Flybe titles
would help

Agreed expensive doing livery change..I actually prefer the old Jersey European livery ...but I'm going back. I also am not keen on the title what does flybe mean ? If it's British European ....then say it. Same for bmi what's that ??! British Midland International ?

Technically it`s British European but never used as everybody knows what the BE means

Shortened names are easier for people to say and of course type on social media.

Yes understand all that...I guess it's the modern way. I don't think if you asked any passenger they would know what the ' BE' means, they could hazard a guess i suppose.
I just like a definition of the abbreviation on aircraft etc.

Another photo of the new livery popped up on headlines on my phone and I think out of their 3 different liveries I like this the most after studying it more.

Very much so. A lot of people call British Airways just BA, or Virgin Atlantic just Virgin.

As for what does the BE mean, I wouldn't be surprised if these days it doesn't actually mean anything and Flybe has just become a word. NATS used to stand for National Air Traffic Service but it no longer does, its just a name. Same is probably true for Flybe.

Birmingham Executive using JETSTREAM 31 morphed into Flybe or am I in error?
Birmingham Executive Airways became Birmingham European Airways which later merged with Brymon Airways to become Brymon European Airways. Later there was a de-merger and Brymon was bought by BA and the Birmingham European part of the merged airline became Maersk Air UK.

I have to admit I was aware that after Brymon and Birmingham European de-merged the former became a fully-owned subsidiary of BA (it had flown as a BA franchise for a number of years before that) but I had to check up on the Maersk UK part of the de-merger.

Flybe started life as Jersey European Airways nearly 40 years ago. For a short period at the beginning of this century the name of the airline was altered to British European and then to Flybe.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
