They should have secured the delivery dates of these aircraft before giving out start dates. It just adds to unnecessary doubts that may be in potential passengers minds. The Flymaybe days are still fresh in customers minds. This doesn't help. As I said, I hope they survive and prosper.

They did... and this relates to when different routes were due to start depending on when the aircraft joined the fleet. The leasing companies are now no longer able to meet those dates. i don't see how flybe can be blamed for that>!>

Starflyer on the LBA/Flybe thread states that the LHR flights are merely 'slot sitters'.

This seems to imply that Flybe were awarded these slots and are using the flights to hold onto them until such a time that they can sell them for a very nice profit.

Currently you cant book any Flybe flights after 31st October 2022, Maybe (no pun intended) they are rescheduling all their services, Not good for their cash flow or anyone planning a trip further than 4 months time. Massive missed opportunities for Revenue
Perhaps this is temporary? Lets hope so

Also noticed that some of their flights are showing as being operated by Swiftair (based in Madrid)

Another 2 weeks has passed and still the same position. You cant book any flights after 31 October and flights such as EDI and GLA are priced very high ( £160 plus each way) after 22 September
What is going on? How can they survive without the cash flow from these forward bookings? Easy answer, they wont !

Hopefully we will see the winter flights loaded to the web site very soon now as still only to 31st October on sale. I contacted them through FB and they just say watch the web site and it will be soon...... same reply since early July
I am looking to book flights to EDI in February so additional frequency will be helpful. Interesting to see if it impacts their pricing. I cant see them getting close to the Easyjet prices

At last ! The winter schedule has now been published and is available to book on their web site. EDI and GLA take a break and start again on 24 November with frequency increases into February, Aberdeen restarts 9 February
New destinations added are Newquay and Southampton but NOT from BHX

It's weirdly offering SOU from BHX. I think it's a glitch but I am having difficulty booking any of the new routes so can't actually confirm

Surely anywhere that takes 3hrs or more to get to by Car is worthy of consideration for a domestic flight? Even without traffic, and our regular destination being only 20 mins over the Tamar, it still takes 3 1/2 hours to reach our destination from South Birmingham. What about the people going to St Ives - you can easily add an hour onto that. Also, there's still a fair amount of business traffic between the South West and West Midlands all year round. With a typical train fare from New Street to Bodmin Parkway standing at around £150-180 return per person and taking over 4 hours to do so without changing trains, surely there is a business and economic case for Flybe to offer a year round service from BHX-NQY that takes just 45mins?

This is what I don't get with so many of these route decisions. Yes, sometimes, there is strong enough demand for a route that it can sustain several airlines, like BHX to Glasgow, Dublin or Edinburgh. But Newquay it would seem to me would benefit from a more diverse set of UK destinations, Britains' second City being one of them. Surely there's more money to be made from unserved routes with potential.

Im reliably informed that the BHX-SOU in the drop down is a computer glitch as i believe the the return AVN route does AVN-SOU-BHX ...so officially in the system but is never bookable....

That ties in with what happened last weekend. It dropped in to SOU for 40 minutes and continued to BHX.
