Istanbul we could really do with

Good news but I’m the same, Istanbul I would like.
I really thought we would see Turkish at BRS by now - they have an excellent hub for onward connections.
I wonder what BRS need to do to secure this or an ME route. It would really compliment their route network..
I think it’s shown their is passenger demand in the West Country. Especially Bristol down to the SW..

Well considering that they seem to expanding their Lufthansa group/Star Alliance airlines i wouldn't be surprised that once Frankfurt becomes established as a route then Bristol may well see Turkish Airlines in a few years time. I believe the lack of cargo facilities and proximity to Heathrow may well effect the airports chances of a ME3 route.

Sun Express/Corendon seem to be expanding onto the "Sun routes" into the UK markets.

This is clearly because the UK-Turkish holiday market is big, and valuable given the Lira collapse making it very cheap. Also the market left open by TC is there for grabs. So I guess they are replacing capacity.

Just a heads up to look out for new options from BRS to BHD from September. Keep your eyes peeled everyone.

Yes corendon was announced more or less after sun express said they were going to fly to Bristol. Are we talking eastern or western ?

Silly me. I could name loads of wish list airlines but probably won’t be one of them

To be fair to BRS, there are not many airlines that are not already at the airport (realistic ones anyway) Turkish would be quite the catch and is probally one of the strong contenders for this new airline

Swiss, TAP and Iberia/IB express probally decent shouts too!
