I use the airbus shuttle often from Bristol and when it arrives from Broughton it is usually around or just over half full. There are 2 dedicatied toulouse to Bristol flights a week, one on Monday and one on Thursday. All the others operate Broughton-Bristol-Toulouse.

I remember speaking to someone who used to go on the Agusta Westland shuttles between Bristol and Italy. 3 course lunch onboard for everyone apparently, believe it or not. I’m sure it was operated by Eastern.

Eastern have never operated regular flights between Bristol and Milan. flybmi as bmi regional operated a reasonable public schedule between BRS and MXP at one time which has gradually been reduced. A few years ago bmi regional also operated a second flight on Mondays and Fridays BRS-MXP which was probably for AugustaWestland (now Leonardo) and that might have been the service to which you refer.

It was S13
Many thanks for that, Red Flyer. Before replying to aviatorconcorde I checked CAA annual charter passenger numbers on BRS-MXP going back to the time that BA, then easyJet then bmi regional operated scheduled services on the route, and the only significant charter years were 2013 with 2363 passengers and 2014 with 2411 passengers.

I was aware that bmi regional sometimes operated twice on some days then and I took one of the flights to be the Westland/Leonardo charters. I got this information from Mayfly but it seems it was in 2014. In 2013 from what you say it was Eastern and not bmi regional doing the charter flights but they were not shown on Mayfly (at least in the copies I have - one for each month of the year) nor were they advertised on the airport's publicly available routes information sheet of which I have a copy - presumably because they were private charters.

Thank you for the information and my apologies to aviationconcorde for giving misleading information.

Oh no worries at all!

Was Anglesey a late decision, Jerry? Enjoy your day.

Only time will tell but their parent group Bristow hasn't been doing to well.

Apparently Bristow have applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

There have been posters on the other forum blaming many of Eastern's problems on Bristow and suggesting the airline would be better going alone.

Someone said on the forum that there has been steps taken to separate Eastern from Bristow as much as possible I believe. Hopefully they'll survive.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
