Indigo will be the biggest airline especially low cost in the future once they get their aircraft.

Indigo will be the future airline of India.AI will then digress sadly

I wouldn't write Air India off by any means despite their current difficulties they are still perceived as India's national airline even though they are now privately owned. The likes of Indigo can be compred to say Ryanair/EasyJet to British Airways who still maintain there position in Britain.

What happens at BHX with Air India while important to us is small beer for them and given their long history at BHX dating back to the use of 707s via Moscow I'm hopeful of their long term commitment to BHX.

Been wrong before though.

I still don’t understand your logic here and personally believe you’re wrong and very much hope you're wrong.

Air Indigo has 0 currently Long-haul Planes in their fleet and have circa 129 on order, a mix between Airbus 321XLR and Airbus A350. They are a low-cost model meaning pretty basic service but unlike other low-cost airlines they do offer connections which means they can at least offer a connecting hub approach.

Air India has an existing long-haul fleet of 65 aircraft which will more than double to 137 once deliveries are complete. They have a lot of more aircraft under option also and have aspirations to be a global international airline.

To suggest that “Indigo will be the future airline of India and that Air India will then digress sadly”… is frankly ludicrous and unrealistic. That’s like saying Easyjet will be THE future airline of the UK and British Airways with digress. Clearly this is not the case. They compete on some elements and not on others. There are markets for both and will always continue to be. And that’s in a UK market with a population of circa 80 million people…

In contrast, India has a population of 1.4 BILLION!, THAT’S OVER 17X BIGGER THAN THE UK. India will be able to sustain numerous airlines, and I think Air India has a massive role to play.

Air India has a long way to go, and I wish indigo well servicing the low-cost market… but I think Air India has a massive amount of untapped potential and look forward to seeing them grow at BHX.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
