Silkway are pretty frequent but there doesn't appear to be a set pattern that I can see so I assume it's a on demand charter of some sort.

Maersk is daily except Fridays I think using a 767 t/f Billund. They also have sent a 77L in addition occasionally.

The 747 from Malta is by Mesk not to be confused with Maersk which my predictve text continually keeps doing Maersk's 767 is in later today as usual as well 😀

Our other 747 operator National were last in on Sunday from Dubai-DWC to Hahn but they have become less frequent lately.

I meant we’ve had a silkway 747 in more or less everyday and a 767 in every day from billund .

Using info from FR24, the Silkway flights begin from Hong Kong, and occasionally other Chinese cities. They land at their base, Baku, and cargo is transferred as required, mostly to BHX, and occasionally Stansted. I suspect they are mainly carrying ' cheap ' Chinese fashion items from the likes of Temu etc.
I seems to be a very frequent but ad hoc service. Great for BHX though.

In addition to the above Silkway 744F the movementsblog shows a Silkway 77L due in at 18:30 out two hrs later t/f Baku.

I think this has happened before 🤔 and would mean it's on the ground with the Maersk 767 keeping the ground crews busy.

Just noticed there was a National 747 in yesterday from DWC as well as the Silkway 747 from Baku making four in two days best rename the Elmdon site 747 central.
Yes, i noticed the National on Ian's blog last night. I'm not able to keep up so well currently, as undergoing daily hospital treatment.
The number of 747's in recent times has certainly made up for the lack of them at BHX in years gone by!.
Long may it continue!.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
