Atlas Air B777F due in from Baku 14.27E. N712GT.
Possibly due to East Mids scheduled runway closure for maintenence maybe our resident cargo expert CL44 will know? either way a nice visitor a lot of stuff seems to come from Baku these days.

I don't know about expert! I know a bit but so do a lot of other people here at BHX (and especially on this forum). I would have expected to see other flights as well as this Atlas one if the runway is being maintained at EMA, so I am surprised that this is the only one I can recall so far being diverted in. Always nice to see other Airlines coming into BHX (as this gives a chance for Blue City to show what they can do, and how well they can handle these flights). The Cargo apron was VERY busy prior to Christmas and it is good to know that the trend seems to be continuing. Baku has proved to be an excellent midway point for cargo coming from the Far East

Thanks for the reply CL44 I've always had an interest in freight movements dating back to the DC9F freighters of SAS and Alitalia from Copenhagen and Milan not to mention the Securicor battered DH Herald- long time ago 😀

Maybe a sub charter for a Silkway B777F?. Nice to see though.

I don't think its a sub charter it operated out of EMA last Wednesday and on other days on the same flight number as todays flight. EMA is closed for the next two Wednesdays 10::00 -18:00 for runaway maintenance.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
