"Birmingham Airport Staff", very appropriate picture Ray!
In fact my favourite pictures of BHX are always the ones of tails lined up on the Pier. Keep them coming!

I see somebody has took it upon themselves to use my photo as their Facebook page cover.

I guess I should be flattered

Shall i contact them and ask for them to join this forum, im assuming they work at BHX ????? They could be very useful to us all Re: Gossip and rumours etc etc

Gotta agree though, that pic is bostin :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

I also used that pic on the "other forum" ray but i always credit you and Forums4Airports

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask them although that Facebook page seems very quiet.

I'm not too bothered about them using the picture but it would have been nice if they'd had the courtesy to ask first :s_yes

That looks like a world-beater. But I can't decide between it and the American arch.
The plane looks a little old and grubby though :s_sad

The plane may look a bit grubby but it is better to have a dirty plane than not at all. It was a nice sight to see it parked up at the terminal this morning.

And then of course we have the Silk Way Airlines IL-76 (which hovered it's way down the runway until finally deciding to plant it's undercarriage!).

This is currently on the Elmdon apron (unfortunately hidden by what is left of Hanger No 1 so I cannot see what is coming off or going on board).

I have seen a departure time of 1230 for this flight. Any one have any other information at all?

That's a pretty spectacular arch and should be enough to regain top spot, something which I think we lost unfairly :s_yes

A couple more from this morning. I wish I'd waited another 10 minutes for United as it was in the Star Alliance livery.

I like the rather unconventional nose-down approach of the Antonov. I also like any shots of aircraft lined up on the pier.

That is a smashing variety of aircraft and airlines on what has to be the best day of the year so far. I still don't know why the EuroAtlantis 767 visited though.

Fantastic pictures Sir :hatsoff:

Loving Anotonovs smoking away :)

FR24 shows that CS-TRW arrived again at 01:20 from Monastir.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
