Yeah i loved it, got there at 9am this morning and just got back. I have a red face as it got pretty warm this afternoon.
I just love it on a busy summer afternoon, the sun shining, the whiff of aviation fuel and all that aircraft noise. SWEET

As for the red face? Yeah!, been there done that! to the point that many of my friends refer to it as 'Airshow Face'. I've learned my lesson, and now apply factor 50 sun block.

Why was the United 757 parked up - had it gone tech?

Had an hydraulic oil leak, spare part flown in the next day from EWR

As I live in the city centre mate, I always catch the 900 bus at the bottom of my road. Im there in 20 mins. £2.50 there and £2.50 back. Total cost £5.00 👍

For me the subject of the photo is as important, if not more important, than the technical side. As a collective your pictures show the variety of airlines and aircraft type in a way that I've not seen before. Looking through your album I actually felt as if I was there 👍

Cheers, ive decided that after my holiday (which is soon, i cant wait) im going to invest in a camera and get some better quality photo's. The last 2 times that ive been to the airport, ive actually enjoyed taking them. In the past i just wanted to watch the planes, and would get bored very easily taking a photo of them.

Great photos Ray, as always!
Like Brum X, I think that the Air India B787 is the standout photo. It's pin sharp and perfectly exposed. The lighting under the wings is balanced by a well lit fuselage against a beautiful sky.

I think that the composition of your photos were excellent, as was the lighting. The only thing I would suggest, is it looks like the lens needs cleaning.
