I managed to get over to BHX for a couple of hours on Friday 2nd Sept 2016. Here are a few photos (nothing spectacular). I thoroughly enjoyed my time, but with the sun directly opposite, photography wasn't easy.

Thanks for the kind words and the 'Likes'. There are some seriously good photographers who post their excellent pictures here, so to receive such comments is much appreciated.

Here are a few more, now that I've had a little time to work on them...

Although not captured here, it was interesting to watch the Flybe DHC-8's taxiing out on one engine and starting the second only when at the hold point for R33. It reminded me of seeing Viscounts taxiing on two engines.

Me neither. I'm sure I have some photos somewhere - I'll have to search.
I wonder if they alternated inner/outer to even out engine hours?

Just watched a short film which shows one taxiing on the two inners but like you say they may have alternated.

Hello all,another batch of pics from last Sunday.Went for the Air India 737-800 hoping to see it land but as there were no trains from Brum before 0830 that failed as had to get the bus instead.Tried to get a shot from the railway footpath but it was blocked in all day by a Monarch plane,the only aircraft not to move all day!Got some far away pics from the Elmdon MSCP in the end.

Some fabulous pictures. Particularly the Q400, A380 nose (accentuates the ugliness ) and the last one. Tenth of a second earlier and it would have looked like a giant airfix model!
