Hi Glenn,

I noticed Swissport handled LS1204 on Saturday evening.

Are Jet2 doing a phased switch or hasn’t it started handling at Birmingham yet?

BTW, I’m very impressed with the Jet2 operation from what little I have seen, just don’t forget to smile when you are dragging a 30 kilo case across the ramp!

The Beast from the East part 2 is coming our way. :(
I hope it's the Beast's smaller sibling, The Pest For the West, if anything does come this way.

Over 100 flights cancelled at Heathrow in anticipation of snow. What on earth is going on? The concrete and tarmac down south are not covered in snow. We need to get a grip.

And the Bloomin schools are shut today as well:sneaky:

Problem at LHR is that the place is saturated. Anything that causes a few delays will result in major issues. The airlines prefer to decide which flights to cancel to make operations more sustainable than loose random flights.

I was thinking that myself. If as they claim LHR cannot cope with deicing in what is a stuff breeze and a bit of chill with a dusting of snow then it has problems.

I have just been out here in Manchester very difficult to say how much snow has fallen
but it looks and feels more like Siberia with visibilty poor in blowing snow and everything
has just iced up solid yet the runway is clear of snow but closed at present for de-icing

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
