Hope you've battened down the hatches! Got FR24 filtered to show the London airports, BHX and MAN inbounds only.

EIR ATR from Shannon is now heading south east, Eurowings A320 from DUS is now holding to the north as is Flybe.

We have 4x Jet2 and an easyjet closing in.

Jet2 from Tenerife went around but Eurowings and another Jet2 from Malta managed to land. Flybe from GLA going around as I type.

We have easyjet on approach with 4x Jet2 and another Flybe holding.

Must be absolute nightmare to see where you will land. FDX6201, although not a BHX arrival, has had an "interesting" evening. FR24 says it was going to STN but routed to EMA, went round 2 or 3 times, headed to MAN, went round the hold and went back south perhaps back to STN. Which would technically mean it never diverted to begin with?!

I notice on FR24 that a BA A320 is currently in residence at BHX, a divert from LHR, an airfield apparently operating normally.

Begs the question, why BHX and not a local field e.g. Gatwick or Biggin or the City? BA seemingly do not like us do they?

City and Biggin can not handle BA A320 and maybe LGW too busy or weather BA short haul tend to anywhere down south if they can
i:e BOH, CWL or STN.

The strength of the wind gusts (up to 40 kts) and the partial crosswind were similar to some other airports but it's wind shear that inevitably causes problems at MAN. A flybe diverted to LPL earlier. BHX winds weren't as strong based on the metars.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
