I haven't looked up ALC and TFS, but I found something else.
If you go on the Norwegian website, select Boston from the MAN drop-down list and click on a date in February or March, it says "Selected route is on sale from 1 April 2016". It used to say 14 May.
Selecting a date any time after April 1 produces no results, though.

As far as I can see there are no slots applied for under Norwegian for any TFS or ALC services.

The TFS and ALC slots are applied for as IBK. They are definitely there, I double checked today. I was tipped off by a friend about ALC/AAL/BLL so others have definitely seen the slots too.

The only ones I am dubious about are the Aalborg slots, as, I'm not aware of them serving any routes from AAL.

Wiki says they fly to LGW, CPH and AGP year-round from Aalborg, and ALC and PMI seasonally.

Is there any update on those Norwegian slots for summer?

As far as I can see, the timetable still only shows 3 x weekly to Oslo except July when there are no flights apparently; Stockholm and Stavangar are 2 x weekly but no Stavangar flights June & July.

It's getting late for any announcements. If this is final, is it less seats than s2015 or similar?

It will be interesting to see what happens with Oslo if Ryanair don't operate RYGGE next winter.

Finally!

About time these were launched, they have been rumoured long enough.

Also good to see that the slot application was utilised for once.

That's now increased our destinations by 100% and 10 extra weekly flights in one felled swoop.

6 destinations and 17 weekly flights this summer. Notice that the application for GOT and AAR is still in, so potentially more to come!

What's interesting is that the BCN flight starts next month.

Considering the daily Vueling, 12 weekly Monarch, 14 weekly Ryanair and 7 weekly Jet2, they must be confident they can calve a niche in the market.

Despite their background issues, I'm delighted we have had some decent expansion after years of stagnation. Like I say, if the slot requests are right, then Gothenburg and Aarhus next.

As it stands at the moment Friday will be the busiest day with the three scandinavian flights then Malaga and Alicante.Hopefully there might be more to follow like User001 has said.

Well, Norwegian applied for AGP/BCN/ALC/GOT/AAR in this years ACL allocation as well as the historic slots for ARN/OSL/SVG. Obviously ALC/BCN/AGP came to fruition, and they were the routes I had doubts about, so hopefully, the GOT/AAR should come through.

It's quite pleasing that these routes have come through, as it now means we have a full 7 day service from Norwegian, and now the joint second biggest destination outside LGW based on number of routes served, coming from the last place position. It also means that like Gatwick and Edinburgh, we now have both DY and D8 coded flights. EDI still larger will be larger with 21 weekly flights compared to MAN's 15.

It will now be interesting to see if any long haul comes to the fore. It has been mentioned by Bjorn Klos that the B737-max could be used from MAN. Thomas cook have laid the ground work and proven the low cost long haul can work from MAN. Obviously I hope that no long haul from Norwegian pushes TCX off the routes as they have been good to MAN and set up a pretty impressive trans-Atlantic offering from Manchester, but I do think that Boston, Washington, San Fransisco and Los Angeles could use more capacity, and Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, Bangkok and Delhi could be great routes. Boston would be the prime route we are likely to see first if it ever happens, and with TCX only offering may-sept flights, I fully believe Norwegian and Thomas Cook could co-exist on the route.

MAN has its wish list of long haul, now they have got Norwegian to expand, they could be used to open the routes TCX isn't quite brave enough to try. There's always the fact that the Norwegian brand is more well known in the USA too.

I agree, I would like to see Norwegian expand into longhaul at MAN, and I think the demand for certain routes is there. However, I do not want to see this at the expense of TCX. Is there a particular difference in the product offered between the two?

I would like to see some of these routes operated by alliances - it offers more connections at either end, and the option of routing through MAN on a limited basis. If it encourages routes like Chicago, Washington, Boston to go year round, adds options to popular routes like New York and increases capacity on new routes like LA and San Fran it can only be a good thing.

Note that Norwegian's timings on both MAN-ALC and MAN-AGP allow Monday-Friday workers to spend a full weekend in Southern Spain without using any of their annual holiday entitlement. Introductory return fares are £56.50. I have booked flights MAN-ALC-MAN + coach transfers to resort + 3* seafront hotel (2 nights) for £126 all-in. Can't complain at that price. Worth considering.

I wonder if Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok might be good routes for Norwegian from MAN. B789 economics should stack up...
